Ayu Imoto (井元 愛夕 ,Imoto Ayu) is a Japanese animator. She does key animation and animation direction for Detective Conan anime and movies.

Ayu was initially from Studio Mu. She joined the anime production in 2006, starting with the 1st part of The Sealed Western-Style Window, she was the in-between animation for that episode. The following year, she got promoted as key animator, and continually worked for seven years. Then, in 2014, she shrotly got arranged to assistant animation director for the 2nd part of Metropolitan Police Detective Love Story 9. After that, her work in the Detective Conan anime was a interlace between key animation and animation director (assistant AD sometimes as well).

Regarding her key animation work, from 2011 to 2013, she was mainly active in Otomo Kenichi's key animation group; from 2014 to 2016, she was mainly active in Iwai Nobuyuki's key animation group; from 2018 to 2020, she was mainly active in Tsubuki Asuka's key animation group.
