Situation
Kogoro, Ran, Conan are in a train station where they met Kuniko Yamamoto, a clothing designer, Kaori Obayashi, a travel agent, and Kanami Kaneda, a housewife. Where they will go to Dolphinland Theme Park to visit Naomi Fujimaru, a children's clothing designer. When the three women go to Fujimaru's room, Kogoro wants to go but refused by Ran but then they heard the scream of the three women when they found Fujimaru dead.

The police go to the murder scene, it was a retro room. Conan saw an ice cream bar, candies, Fujimaru's pepper spray and a coin-operated television. Conan discovers the trick how to insert the coin without using hands. Conan still suspects the three women but they have a strong alibis.

When Conan heard a plastic sound on Yamamoto's pocket. Conan figures out who the murderer is. After tranquilizing Kogoro, Conan makes his deduction: first, the pepper spray found in Fujimaru's pocket had not been used. This means she knew her attacker. Second, the room key was on the table if it was a burglar, why not lock the door on the way out? This would delay discovery of the victim and reveals the time of death was around 12:20 PM, not 1:00 PM. Nobody needs to be here to insert a coin, they could just use all the candies. Using the ice cream bar and candy with a string, first, drape the string candy over the candy slot. Next, place the ice cream bar between the TV controls and a furniture as a bridge. Finally, put the other end of the string under the ice cream bar and put a coin in the coin slot. After setting up the trick, the culprit left the room. Overtime, the ice cream bar melts and falls away, allowing the thread to slip to the floor and the coin to slip in to turn on the TV. Indeed, remember the channel knob and table were damp, it was from the ice cream bar. Besides, the ice cream bar was a fairly new flavor, it wouldn't be included with the room's selection. The culprit did not lock the room just so this trick would work. if the culprit had opened the door, would not have been able to open the door and watch the TV turn off automatically and also the culprit hung out the sign because the room had to be unlocked but nobody was supposed to get in early, or the plan will fail. The culprit used the victim's cellphone. And declares Kuniko Yamamoto to be the culprit. After committing the murder, she took Fujimaru's cellphone and went to the station to meet Obayashi and Kaneda. Then, using the cellphone in her pocket, she called her own phone and pretended to talk with Fujimaru. The only thing she to do was return the phone during the commotion after the body was discovered, and reveal that Yamamoto has a plastic bag in her pocket. She put Fujimaru's cellphone in the bag and took it away. And in the plastic bag several fingerprints and there is a weird vertical pattern was discovered, and tells that Yamamoto that on her cellphone there are numbers 02058252805. To call her number, only the center buttons are necessary hence the vertical pattern as you dialed through the plastic bag.
Yamamoto confesses and reveals after graduation they both sought the recommendation for a job in America it was with a well-known company, and Fujimaru, who was already good, became a successful designer with them. But she was supposed to have been chosen, but Fujimaru used her feminine charms on the professor, she didn't know a thing about it until the professor let it slip one time when they were having drinks. She was exaggerated a little but the truth is she was fired from her job just because she had a little too much to drink once. She felt humiliated to Fujimaru because she took away her happiness.
