Uploading images

When you upload images, can you please upload replacement images under the same filename? To do this, you click on an image select "Upload a new version of this file". It's a problem when there are two near identical images with the same name. The unused image becomes orphaned and floats on the servers around taking up space. Also when you reupload images, you can see the image history in order to compare versions, but it doesn't work when you change the filnames. Thnaks, Chekhov MacGuffin ^talk 09:31, 24 June 2013 (PDT)
