Sandbox currently being used for peripheral vision analysis.

Summary and assumptions

People with a nonfunctional eye will lack corresponding peripheral vision. Thus they will be required to turn their whole face in order to see things on their blinded side. This sheet is meant to document the behaviors of characters who are known to be blinded one one side so that other blinded characters can be identified.

General observations

People who are blinded in one eye, while they may give aside glances at first when their names are called, tend to turn their heads fully toward the speaker when being spoken to or holding a conversation.

Hyoue Kuroda

Yamato Kansuke

Yamato is blinded in his left eye

  • 913p5 - Turns whole face to see Koumei in contrast to Koumei who can see him in his right eye's peripheral while his left eye is shut. Dramatic
  • 913p5 - Turns whole face to see Yui, Yui does the same.
  • 916p6 - Catches Conan staring at him in the peripheral of his functional eye, turns to look at Conan full forward over the next two panels
  • 916p6 - Hears his name called and glances left. He probably shouldn't be able to see the speakers given they are in the periphery of his bad left eye. Turns his head 90 degrees to face the other police directly in next two panels. Koumei can see over his shoulders without turning his body as much. Yui was already faced in their direction.
