The object of the robbery was the altered last will of Karahashi Gotaro, the late chairman of the Karahashi Group, who - instead of favoring his next of kin, as previously intended - left his entire vast fortune to his lover and long-time secretary.

He caught the culprit breaking the safe open, but was discovered, kicked into uncnsciousness, and taken away.
