Heiji Hattori (服部 平次 Hattori Heiji), also known as Harley Hartwell in the Funimation dub, is a character in the anime series Detective Conan. A detective in his own right, Harley is first considered Shinichi Kudo's biggest rival. Later on, Heiji considers Shinichi to be one of his closest friends, and even knows of Shinichi's secret of being Conan Edogawa. Conan and Heiji often work together to help solve a case. His best friend since childhood is Kazuha Toyama.
