After the case, Conan and Eisuke have a one-to-one conversation, and Eisuke reveals he's actually known Conan is Shinichi since the very first time he's met him, noticing his great intelligence and his voice-changing bowtie he used to impersonate Kogoro. Though, Eisuke isn't aware of the all APTX story. He says he feels disappointed Ran's lover is still around, given he loves her too. The culprit is Maiko Kuzumi. She committed suicide after the murder by jumping off Nakame's flat's window. Shogo Somei found her corpse and got what happened due to a last text message from her, saying she did it to help Somei out, since Nakame was exploiting him shamelessly. Somei decided to hide her corpse in his car's trunk, and went up to Nakame's, rearranging the plates and things to have police believe Nakame was alone and only killed himself.
