The Detective Boys were spying on a mysterious man and followed him after seeing him running from the construction site. They decide to inspect the site to see what might have happened and see the dead body after which they call the police immediately and Conan which couldn't come.

- The ambulance that charged Unmo's corpse is a Toyota HiMedic 2017. Its license plate is 新宿 800, こ 16-95 (Shinjuku 800, Ko 16-95), having the same plate as a police car in The Kendo Tournament of Love and Mystery.
- Rika Samei lives in the same apartment block as Mifuyu Morita from The Real Culprit's Scream.
