The next day, Conan asks Haibara for the antidote but she denies saying he could build resistance to it or it could kill him. A woman by the name of Haruna comes to Mouri's office with a music box asking to find the owner of this whom she only contacted by pager messages. She tells them the music box was given to her on Christmas day. Conan finds out that the missing notes in the music box are the notes "Mo De Ru". They find the house owner's place by contacting using his pager number. Once there they find out Shuugo was an old man who died on December 6 last year, 19 days before she received the box. Shuugo's wife who died three years before him was also named Haruna. The family ask her where he hid his stamp which is worth 200 million yen. Shuugo's family invites them to stay over. That night Ran and Haruna see and old man's shadow with a cane fly by. They find out one of the family members was hit on the head by an unknown culprit.

Mouri is put to sleep and Conan solves the case. The family finds the stamps to pay off their debts. One of the family members named Shirgo is revealed to be the one who took over for the grandpa when texting to her and was the one who gave her the box. Shirgo and Haruna now maintain a very close relationship. | ||||||||||||

Ran, Sonoko, and Conan befriend a couple at a restaurant, but Ran finds the man's act suspicious. After visiting them at their home, Ran learns that the man's wife has an extremely expensive insurance and that he may be trying to wear her body out to kill her. After inspecting the newly built house for Sick building syndrome, Conan finds out that her husband did something to the car. They later catch him spraying poison into the ventilation system of the car. He reveals that his company pressured him along with his want for a car.

Eri Kisaki meets up with another two lawyers, one male, and the other female. Both attended school with her in the past. Detective Mouri later gets drunk and falls asleep in the bedroom of the female lawyer's room. When they return to the room, she's dead, and the door is locked from the inside, making Detective Mouri the prime suspect. | ||||||||||||

She, Conan, and Inspector Misao Yamamura search for clue's to clear his name, and find a way to trick the true culprit into revealing that he's the criminal. Afterwards, Mouri tries to ask Eri to return home with him, since it has been a year after their divorce. Eri pretends not to hear and later at home, listens again to the recording of Mouri's plead for her return. | ||||||||||||

A serial arsonist sets huge fires across the city and Takagi and Sato with the Detective Boys are out to solve it. It turns out this is also the day the case of Sato's father's death will be annulled, and the bank robber will be able to keep the money he stole from the bank. Sato sets out to solve both cases before the day ends, but Takagi has been attacked by the arsonist.

After Ai reveals the pattern of the arsonist attack, the Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko run into the arsonist who attempts to kill them. Takagi is revealed to be inside the warehouse the arsonist set fire to. He can't break the handcuffs due to them being a momentum from Sato's dead father. Conan manages to arrive in time and stop the arsonist, but does not realize Takagi is in the burning warehouse. Meanwhile, the clock strikes midnight and the suspected bank robber explains everything to Sato, saying how his father saved his life. Sato reveals that due to the typhoon in Italy, the annul date was moved forward by one day. Takagi seemingly dies but appears with his handcuffs attached to the window bars. He collapses in Sato's arms. | ||||||||||||

Mouri is carried by Ran and accompanied by Conan one night picking him up from a bar. While walking they witness a fight in an apartment. The next day a murder occurs. One of the man who's heard arguing comes to Mouri for help to prove his innocence. The man has made good suggestions on where to find evidence which are in fact too good. Conan finds out the man is lying and is trying to trick Mouri into proving his false alibi. | ||||||||||||

Mouri, Ran, and Conan are invited for a ceremony for a ropeway which is built through a giant Goddess Statue on the mountains by Doumouto Guze. They learn that the there is a rumor about a curse by the goddess' anger and Mouri was invited to disprove it. After riding through the ropeway on the opening day, Doumouto, who has disappeared from the ropeway cart, is later found dead on the goddess' hand. Inspector Sango Yokomizo enters the scene, and begins an investigation, believing that this may be an impossible crime. | ||||||||||||

The Detective boys excluding Ai, are traveling through a winding path on Mt Ryujin. There they witness a derailed car fall off the mountain. The man has died and through the evidence, Conan concludes another car rammed into that car. Conan decides to leave it to the police as they are trained for basic cases. Mitsuhiko finds a code from the car wreckage which he assumes has nothing to do with the incident because he presumed it was a normal accident. He hides it from Conan since he wants to solve it himself. Later at the cabin, he solves the code and takes Ayumi and Genta with him. | ||||||||||||

Ran, Conan, and Kogoro are invited to a home where there is a body of water that surrounds it. The water is able to change colors via the time of day, and is surrounding a small temple where the headmaster prays everyday. They meet the various people in the home, but discover that the headmaster is found dead in the temple. Inspector Sango Yokomizo is on the scene, and through the help of Conan, believes that it was no a suicide, but a murder. How could the killer have found a way to sneak into the headmaster's temple, especially when the only entrance can be viewed by a window that was in the room that everyone was in at the time of the murder? | ||||||||||||

After some investigating by Conan, Kogoro, and Yokomizo, Conan discovers enough clues to figure out who the murderer is, as well as how they reached the headmaster. Conan solves the case after discovering a small, risky, and very daring blind spot that can be used as an alternative route to the entrance of the temple. | ||||||||||||

Conan, Agasa, Haibara, and the Detective Boys all go to a forest that is used for looking for mushrooms. It is split in half. One half is used for mushroom hunting, while the other half is used for hunting animals. Both sides are divided by a large, but easily climbable fence. After not finding much luck, Genta discovers very big mushrooms on the hunting side, and through the help of a hole in the fence, goes through that side. The search is on for Genta! However, after Haibara hurts her leg, Mitsuhiko must care for her. A man is found dead in the woods, and a hunter targets Haibara and Mitsuhiko!

Conan, Ayumi, and Agasa find Genta, and meet up with some bear hunters. The hunters are looking for a legendary bear that is said to be very dangerous. Conan discovers that a dead body was found, and finds out who the murderer was. However, when he discovers that the murderer does not mean to harm Mitsuhiko and Genta, he decides against having them to be revealed just yet. The legendary bear shows up, and the hunter who was the murderer tries to calm it down. It turns out that the hunter was saved by that bear many years before that, and had killed the man because the man had tried to call the bear out by killing its young baby. The hunter visits every year to not hunt the bear, but to make sure it is OK. He sadly turns himself in to the police. | ||||||||||||

Mouri, Ran, and Conan are attending a dolphin show when a murder occurs in the hotel. The hotel room where the murder occurred was specially designed to be retro one. The clue to the murder is an automatic television that when inserted with a coin, will play for an hour. Conan reveals how the culprit used that to fake their alibi. | ||||||||||||

While driving on a family trip in the Chiba Prefecture, Kogoro's car breaks down. They stop by a house, where Conan, Ran, and Kogoro meet a lawyer, and his extended family of workers, secretaries, and friends. The lawyer is getting threatening letters from a man with the initials "T.K." The next morning, the dog, Johan, is acting strangely. The lawyer leaves the house for a fishing trip, and Ran, Kogoro, and Conan walk the dog. It reacts wildly when it sees a suspicious person in a red hat, on a boat. Later that day, the lawyer's boat is found, halfway sinking, and his body is found deep in the ocean. A local inspector and detective arrive at the scene, and the man with the initials "T.K." is found out to be an old client of the lawyers, and becomes the number one suspect. However, when they go to his apartment, they find him dead, seemingly hanging himself in a suicide. However, the clues say otherwise. Could someone have killed both the lawyer and the client? | ||||||||||||

Conan discovers that five years before this, a man was killed in a "perfect crime," by the man who had killed himself, with the initials "T.K." Conan uses this clue, as well as other clues via help from an old boat rental owner, to deduce how the lawyer was killed. He then visits the old home where the man who was killed ten years before lived, and gets information from an old lady there, and discovers a dog house sign that says "Johann." From this, Conan deduces who the murderer of both men is, and knocks out Kogoro to solve the case, trying to get the murderer to admit themselves that they had done it. | ||||||||||||
