Case

Situation

The Detective Boys are back on the case when a young boy finds himself the unknowing target of a killer. Conan and his friends must use all their deductive powers to protect the tiny tot and bring a murderer to justice before he strikes again.

Hiroshi was on his way shopping when he stopped at an abandoned building. A man thought Hiroshi saw him killing the broker and that made him the target of that man, but Conan found a way to save the child, bringing along the Detective Boys. After some time, Conan revealed that the child didn't accidentally stop at the abandoned place. He remembered it was once a famous shopping store, and went there to buy the stuff he needs, not knowing that the store was shut down. The man is the owner of the store, but the broker wanted to demolish it and that is the reason why the man killed the broker. When Hiroshi asks him for some merchandise he immediately breaks down realizing the mistake he made and confesses his guilt. Had the man not been paranoid about Hiroshi seeing him commit the murder (Hiroshi didn't, he only saw the man), he may have gotten away with it.

• Hajimete no Otsukai ("The First Errand") is actually a TV program broadcast in Japan since 1991 that goes quite similarly to the event shown in this case.
• Ayumi claimed that Hiroshi lives near her.
• A shūgi-bukuro (祝儀袋) is a special envelope in which money is given as a gift of celebration in Japan, especially at weddings.
