Studio Leo (スタジオレオ Sutajioreo?) is a Japanese animation studio used for outsourcing. This studio involved in some of the Detective Conan anime episodes production.

The first participation in episode 1034 looked fine, as they had Kenichi Otomo as animation director and Keiko Sasaki as assistant animation director. But it started to get outrageous in episode 1044, the drawing style looked rather wierd and out of character, despite having Marie Nagano correct some frames. Later in 1049, the animation quality only got worse... Loads of different monstrous drawing styles, and Seiji Muta, the supervisor, did not correct the inconsistency as much.

The president of the studio Sumito Sasaki claimed in the interview that their participation in Detective Conan anime was not for the quality in the first place. It was actually demanded by TMS Entertainment to fill the staff vancancy. As most of the staffs were allocated to the production of the movies. He also discloed that when the anime production team approached him for the job offer, there were only four weeks before that episode was aired. In addition, the anime production team even wanted to diminish the production cost even further, to 4000 yen. Nevertheless it was comprimised afterwards with 5000 yen. That was how tense the schedule was.

Currently, Studio Leo is not responsible for any Detective Conan anime production.
