Yoshito Mihara (三原 義人 Mihara Yoshito) is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Mihara is a producer from the Nichiuri TV movie production department. Along with Takeru Kouchi and Hiromasa Kosugi, they were all affiliated with the "Yonekura Group", which is a group that always thought up great ideas for Isato Yonekura.
Personality
He speaks in an otrageous tone and has such an arrogant personality that he even remarked Heiji as: "a pompous brat that tries to compete with Kudo Shinichi, and self-proclaimed as the Detective from West", which made Heiji quite angry. When he got interrogated, he always answered the police's questions very playfully and acted very confidently.

Plot overview
During the production conference of the movie "Kaiju Gomera vs. Kamen Yaiba" that was planned to commemorate the construction of the new building, the producer of that movie, Isato Yonekura, was killed by a heavy puppet of Gomera in the prop room. The culprit cut the ropes that were used to fix the Gomera puppet in place on the top of the prop shelf. The suspects were narrowed down to the staff that was at the back stage and possessed a storage ID card at the time of the crime. The police interrogated both himself and his fellow colleague, Takeru Kouchi. As they confessed, they all belonged to the "Yonekura Group", and most of the planning ideas were thought up by them, but all were published by Isato Yonekura. Therefore, Mihara possessed a motive to kill Yonekura, since he was capable enough to replace Yonekura after his death.
Heiji then inquired of him for his alibi when the crime was implemented. He said that at that time he was checking for photography progress in the meeting room on the third floor. And he had an alibi: at half past two, a female colleague of his had cooperated with him to fetch painkillers from his car, which was parked in the garage, because his leg was injured three days ago. However, the time the female colleague obtained the car keys was at 14:20, but she came back at 14:30 with the painkillers. The time gap was exactly ten minutes. The explanation he gave to Conan was that due to the popular production conference being held in the building, the garage was full of people, and so was the elavator. In other words, it was seemingly impossible to have him as the murderer, as a person with his leg injured could not go from the third floor to the sixth floor, commit a crime, and return within ten minutes.
It was later surmised that Yoshito Mihara co-murdered Yonekura with Takeru Kouchi. Kouchi helped Mihara climb up the staircase and held him to climb up the ladder leading to the top of the prop shelf as well. To escape the arrest from the police, they decided to drive Yonekura's car. Even though Kouchi managed to escape, Mihara was still being caught by the police. They did not know that there were bombs deposited in Yonekura's car beforehand, so Kouchi, the one who escaped using that car, later died due to the bomb explosion. Mihara could not believe the news in the police station and went into despair. "What is the purpose of us doing all of this?" Mihara exclaimed. And the Osaka Prefecture Police began to investigate the true culprit who laid bombs in Yonekura's car...
