Akane Imada (今田 茜 Morishita Chie) is a Japanese animation producer and sub-scharacter designer, formerly affiliated with Studio Wanpack. She is an animation director and a key animator in Detective Conan anime and movies.
Works in Detective Conan
Imada first involved in the Detective Conan anime in 2009, starting with The Scar of First Love. She was in charge of the in-between animation. Some time later, she began to do key animation as well.
In 2013, Imada started to serve as an assistant animation director in the 1st part of Heiji Hattori and the Vampire Mansion. In 2014, she took over Miho Tanaka's position as the animation director for Studio Wanpack. In 2015, after doing the animation direction work of the 2nd part of Tottori Sand Dunes Mystery Tour, Imada left Studio Wanpack, but still returned in 2017 and served as animation director for another three anime episodes. Her latest work in the Detective Conan anime is the key animation of the 2nd part of The Kendo Tournament of Love and Mystery from 2018.
