Tadashi Morishita (森下 直 Morishita Tadashi?), born 1964, is a Japanese screenplay writer. He was a member of Japan Writers' Guild, but quit the association in March 2019.[1]

Biography

Morishita graduated from Scenario Centre Osaka School (シナリオ・センター大阪校)[2], after he graduated, he debuted as a screenwriter with his script Abduction (誘拐) in 1995. In 1997, Toho (東宝株式会社) made his script into a movie, which then won the 21st Japan Academy Award for Best Screenplay and the National Eiren Best Screenplay Award. Afterwards, he was also in charge of the screenplay of the TV drama The Copycat Criminal (模倣犯), which was adapted from the renowned Japanese mystery author, Miyuki Miyabe (宮部 みゆき). The following year, this TV drama won the 19th Scenario Writers Association Ryuzo Kikushima Award[3].

Style analysis

He did not write much in the Detective Conan, but his work The Mysterious Angel's Mansion is one of the higher-rated one among the fandom. Which had adventure, cipher, and friendship elements in it. Not a lot of deductions are involved in his works of Detective Conan.
