Planetarium-exclusive special

The Magician of Starlight is a special animation video of Detective Conan, screened at the Tsukuba Expo Center in Japan during a planetarium visit event[1]. It was aired exclusively at several planetariums across Japan in 2012, despite initially only planned to air at the Toyota Hands-On Museum, of Toyota, Aichi Prefecture.

There are no official releases of this footage, hence it is considered "lost media".

Situation

JAXA, also known as the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, is currently holding a grand exhibition, demonstrating all the findings of their space exploration by far. The spotlight of this exhibition, is made entirely of jewels - "Shining Celestial Sphere". This was provided by Jirokichi Suzuki; within anticipations, an advanced notice from Kaitou Kid has arrived. Since JAXA was worried about the palpable situation, Kogoro was requested to keep an eye on the security, and so Conan and the Detective Boys tagged along. As they were listening to the latest findings of space exploration from astronaut Chinatsu Mukaida and researcher Dr. Sakamoto, the light suddenly went out and the emergency bell rang! Will they be able to catch Kaitou Kid this time?

Detective Conan, an old acquaintance on television, finally emerges at the planetarium. Kid and Conan confront under the overflowing night sky!
