Recurring characters in the manga
Hideo Akagi
Akagi Hideo (Hide) is a soccer star of the Tokyo Spirits. He has a little brother who was kidnapped by his rival Uemura Naoki. He appears in the Case of the Blackmailed Pro Soccer Player (68-71), The Stadium Indiscriminate Threatening Case (189), Parade of Malice and Saint (366), and Genta's Shot (567). He is frequently mentioned. He is brought up in Reunion with the Black Org (238), Hooligan's Labyrinth (344), and Tomorrow is there (699).( This list is missing entries)
Anno
Anno is one of Kogoro’s mahjong friends who has a cute long haired dog and is a major fan of Mizunashi Rena. He appears in the Wrong Number case (585-586), and The Fugitive (594).
Futoshi Ejiri
Ejiri Futoshi (41) - A fisherman who was nearly killed by poison and was rescued by Agasa and Conan. He appears in Poisoned Bait case (460-462) and Ikkaku rock case (664-666).
Azusa Enomoto
Azusa Enomoto is the waitress at Poirot, the coffee shop below Mouri detective agency. Sugihito Enomoto is Azusa’s brother who does clay shooting. One blond Hiroshi Enomoto shows up in 437; the relationship if any to Azusa is unknown. She shows up in The Client Full of Lies (276), Suspicious Curry (407) where she offered to baby sit Conan while he is sick, The Forgotten Cellphone (438-440), Pursuit of Fish Mail (523-524), Shadows of the Black Org (553), Genta's Shot (569), The Fugitive (594), and Azusa’s brother murder case (641-642).
Hatamoto family: Natsue Hatamoto and Jyouji/George/Shouji Hatamoto
Natsue Hatamoto, age 22, is a member of a feuding family composed of squabbling selfish relatives who want the inheritance: ownership of the huge Hatamoto group and a lot of money. The companies are the Hatamoto products (Hatamoto Bussan) where Takeshi worked, and Hatamoto Construction, of which Kitarou is the Vice President. The company/group itself has corruption allegations and debt issues. The family hates detectives to the point where Hatamoto Gouzou forbade even detective novels and dramas. They are rich enough to own Hatamoto Island and rent a huge boat. Natsue’s parents (father = Shouichi, mother = Miyuki) died in an accident of some sort the year previous. She renounced the inheritance to live with her husband. Who got the inheritance is unknown. Suzuki Kenji is a Hatamoto family butler with an unknown relationship to Suzuki family.
Natsue appears in the Luxury Liner Serial Murder Case (20-25), The Case of the Once-A-Month Present Threat (26), and in a letter in The North Star #3 Express Leaving Ueno (215).
Hatamoto Jyouji/George/Shouji - the cook whose name has been changed between appearances. He is in the Luxury Liner Serial Murder Case (20-25) and Conan VS The Mysterious Kaitou Kid (158-159)
Gan Ida
Ida Gan (39) – a fisherman and boat driver, friend of the Yokomizos. He appears in Poisoned Bait case (460-462) and Ikkaku rock case (664-666)
Kaneshiro family
Kaneshiro Genichirou, age 74, is the owner of a computer company. He owns islands in Okinawa and wants to increase tourism. He appears as a participant in the night baron case in Izu (72-77), and built the house on the island in "solitary island of the princess Goosoh" (361-365). In the Night Baron case he pretends to be blind to throw other participants off. Apparently the Night Baron virus ruined the girl dating game he created four years ago. Genichirou has a servant named Hayashi Shizue. In "solitary island of the princess Goosoh" a mayor by the name of Kaneshiro Hyogo (age 63) appears. He seems to be a relation to Genichirou. Kaneshiro Miyako is the daughter of Hyogo.
Yukiko Katsuragi
Medical student Katsuragi Yukiko, age 24 is the half sibling of Tsujimura Takayoshi. Katsuragi Yukiko is the daughter of Tsujimura Kimie’s first husband Yamashiro Kenji, a diplomat. She along with Tsujimura Takayoshi appears in "No immunity for the diplomat" (92-95), and they are mentioned in "And there are no mermaids" (283) – Katsuragi grew up on the island and recommended Kudo to her old friend Saori who wrote the letter to Hattori requesting Kudo’s help (the I’m going to be killed by a mermaid letter). They do appear in the non-remastered anime version of the mermaid case, but not the remastered version.
Sumiko Kobayashi
Sumiko Kobayashi, age 26, is the teacher of the detective boy's class 1B. She likes mysteries. Her appearances increased after she became Shiratori's love interest. The previous teacher of 1B was named Toya.
Tsuchiya Mankichi aka Kikuemon
Kikuemon, real name Mankichi Tsuchiya, is a famous potter. He appears as a suspect in The Famous Potter Murder Case (160-162), and is mentioned in The Murderous Pottery Class (305).
Takuya Mifune
Mifune Takuya, age 26, is the Mifune electronics industry president, who has dark skin, a black ponytail, and a bisecting hairsplit. He appears in The Wealthy Daughter Murder Case (87-91) and Conan VS The Mysterious Kaitou Kid (158-159).
Nakamichi
Nakamichi is a male soccer player at Teitan high. He appears in Teitan high’s ghost story (457) and Red vs. black (597) where he helped hide Eisuke at the hospital after being admitted for head injuries following a bicycle kick.
Aya Nanakawa
Nanakawa Aya – friend of Ran and Sonoko from junior high. She appears in the convenience store shoplifting case (343-344) and in Haido Central Hospital where Mizunashi Rena was being held, where she was recovering from appendicitis (585). She is voiced by Akiko Yajima in the Japanese dub.
Yoko Okino
Okino Yoko is an actor and idol. She frequently appears on TV and in movies and in connection with Nichuri Television. She was introduced as the suspect in a murder investigation, and has appeared in several cases since. Her manga chapter appearances are An Idol's Locked Room Murder Case (6-9), The TV Station Murder Case (104), The Idol Stars' Secret (322-324), Ding-Dong Dash (499), and Satan-san (591). She is frequently cameos or is referenced by other characters. She is mentioned in The Case of the Hospitalized Burglary Suspect (166), A Small Client (401), she appears in a movie in Red vs. Black (600). (This list is not complete.)
Kenzaki Osamu
Osamu Kenzaki is an actor who plays katana wielding TV detective Samonji. He appears in The Missing Mystery Writer Case (182), The Idol Stars' Secret (322-324), and on the cover of a book in Which One's Reasoning Show? (441).
Tonomi Sakaguchi
Sakaguchi Tomomi (24) is the actor who plays the fairy in the Gomera series. She appears in person during the Murder Case of the Big Monster Gomera (128). She appears in movies in The Final Screening Murder Case (222-224) and Shiratori's Memory (687-689).
Takuma Sakamoto
Sakamoto Takuma a first grade student in class 1B who transferred in recently. He appears in the 200 faced man case (548-549) and is mentioned in the trick warehouse case (690).
Kichiemon Samizu
A long-deceased doll maker who worked during the Bakumatsu era, he is better known for his elaborate and often dangerous mechanical contraptions used to guard jewels and other precious items. His works and the protected items are frequently targeted by Kaitou Kid or acquired by Suzuki Jirokichi as bait. His constructions appear in Strange Mansion Adventure (475-478), The Iron Tanuki (674-676), The Haunted Warehouse (690-692), and Kirin's Horn (712-715).
Kazumi Sanada
Sanada Kazumi, age 27, is a famous magician. He appears or is mentioned in Magician's double card case (131-133), Conan VS The Mysterious Kaitou Kid (158-159), Magician Lover's Murder Case (192) where his name is mentioned at the magic club meeting, (269) Takagi has tickets to his magic show, and (487) where he is brought up in connection to the mystery house.
Ayako Suzuki
Suzuki Ayako, age 24, is Sonoko's older sister who is a graduate student interested in film. She is in a film club and is the head of makeup and costumes. She owns a villa and will be getting married to Yuzo Tomizawa, age 28, who’s father is the head of Tomizawa Zaibatsu (122). Suzuki Shirou is Sonoko’s and Ayako’s father as well as the head of Suzuki financial corp. Suzuki Tomoko is her mother. Suzuki Ayako shows up in Man In Bandages at Mountain Villa (40-44), and is mentioned in A Karaoke Box Murder Case (45), The Triplet's Country Home Murder Case (122), Conan VS The Mysterious Kaitou Kid (158)
Jirokichi Suzuki
Jirokichi Suzuki is Sonoko's uncle and a general advisor for her father's corporation, although he is semi-retired and nowadays executes this function mostly as a pastime. He also has accumulated considerable wealth in his lifetime.[1] Now he uses his considerable wealth to purchase rare and legendary gemstones and jewels for use as a bait for Kaitou Kid, and to design ingenious traps to catch the master thief in the act.[2][1]
Asami Tsuburaya
Asami Tsuburaya is Mitsuhiko Tsubaraya's older sister. She appears in Mitsuhiko's Disappearance (358) and requests an autograph in Satan-san (591).
Kazumi Tsukamoto
Tsukamoto Kazumi (18) is the third year karate club former captain and Ran’s senpai. She appears in Teitan high’s ghost story (457-459), and it is mentioned that she taught Ran the flipping axe kick in Tori-man case (718).
Takayoshi Tsujimura
Tsujimura Takayoshi, age 27, is studying justice. He is the half sibling of Medical student Katsuragi Yukiko. Tsujimura Takayoshi is the son of Tsujimura Isao, a diplomat who landed diplomat Yamashiro Kenji in jail by framing him in a corruption scandal. He along with Katsuragi Yukiko appear in "No immunity for the diplomat" (92-95), and they are mentioned in "And there are no mermaids" (283) They do appear in the non-remastered anime version of the mermaid case, but not the remastered version.
Naoki Uemura
Hideo's soccer rival. He kidnapped Hideo's brother because he was frustrated that Hideo was surpassing him while his leg was broken. He appears or is mentioned in the Case of the Blackmailed Pro Soccer Player (68-71), The Stadium Indiscriminate Threatening Case (189), and Parade of Malice and Saint (366).
Misae Yamamura
Misae Yamamura is Yamamura's Grandmother. She likes racing. She is mentioned in Sonoko's red handkerchief (542) and in Silver white witch (661-663)
Hikaru Yasumoto
Tomoaki Araide's housemaid. She appears in the Unseen Angle of the Darkness (234-237), and is mentioned in the Haunted House Mystery (355).
Tomizawa Yuzo
Yuzo Tomizawa, age 28, is the fiance of Suzuki Ayako who’s father is the head of Tomizawa Zaibatsu (122). Yuzo Tomizawa shows up in The Triplet's Country Home Murder Case (122) and Conan VS The Mysterious Kaitou Kid (158-159).

Jun Omura
Omura Jun, age 35, is the manager of a hobby store and former member of the Beika University Judo Team. He is not married. He appears in the manga based case Kogoro's Class Reunion Murder Case (Manga 84-86, Anime 27-28) and the anime only Night Road Murder Case (Anime 66).
Officer Tome
Officer Tome is a CSI member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, and is often seen investigating the crime scene during cases where Juzo Megure is the head inspector. Tome is an anime only character. Conan frequently asks him about forensic evidence he has collected, and he is often happy to answer.
Ryujiro Uematsu
Uematsu Ryujiro, age 59, is the headmaster of Teitan Elementary school. He has been working at Teitan Elementary for at least thirty years, at least since the new school building was constructed. He is something of a jokester, hiding the vice-principal's toupee in order to poke fun at him. He appears in the manga based case Strange wonders of Teitan Elementary (Manga 154-155, Anime 112) and the anime only Courtroom Confrontation IV: Juror Sumiko Kobayashi (Anime 606-607)
