Red Tear
At Ekota High School, Kaito Kuroba is reading the news about Kaitou Kid's next heist which will he steal the jewel called the "Red Tear". His friend, Aoko Nakamori tells Kaito to stop admiring him. Suddenly, Akako Koizumi the high school witch appears and tells Kaito that he might have to stop if he were her. Saguru Hakuba is reading the magazine about the illusionist, Spider. When Hakuba looks at Akako, Hakuba blushes because of Akako's beauty. Kaito remembers the Red Tear which was long time ago when his father, Toichi Kuroba as the original Kaitou Kid tried to steal it.
That night at Minato Police Station, the police inspector Ginzo Nakamori receives the new calling card from Kaitou Kid. It seems that Kaitou Kid has changed his mind about the heist of the Red Tear. Nakamori was so shocked about it. Very shocking.
The next day, Aoko was surprised that Kaitou Kid has given up on the news and tries to tell Kaito about it but he doesn't want to hear it. (Kaito has it's own reason to not steal the Red Tear.) They passed the man and Kaito saw that the man stole Aoko's purse. Kaito went after him but the lady got it back when the man tried to get away. The lady got Aoko's purse back with her swift hands and Aoko thanks her. The lady is revealed to be the magician, Jody Hopper. It's no wonder she's so skilled with her hands. She's the granddaughter of the famous magician from England, James Hopper, but unfortunately he passed away. Jody invites Aoko and Kaito to the Hopper Magician Troupe's dinner. After Jody left, the evil criminal named Snake is on the move targeting the Red Tear because of the their mission to find the Pandora Gem. He's the one who's responsible of Toichi Kuroba's death.
That night at the Hopper Magician Troupe in Minato Hotel, Nakamori is still wondering why isn't Kaitou Kid really coming. Aoko asks him why does he still get worried about him. Aoko tells his dad that it's good that Kid isn't coming and Nakamori never thought about that. Aoko is still disappointed that Kaito isn't coming to Hopper Magicain Troupe. Snake and his agents are still targeting the Red Tear. They are now the audience of the Hopper Magician Troupe. Meanwhile the magician named Paul is doing an outstanding magic tricks and the audience enjoyed it a lot.
Kaitou Kid appeared and the rest of the policemen went after him. Jody went back inside and found the people that got shot by Snake. Snake demands Jody to hand over the Red Tear or else Snake will kill her if she refuses. Snake shoots and Paul got shot instead of Jody.
