Asami Ishikawa (石川 あさみ Ishikawa Asami?) is a Japanese screenplay writer, meanwhile an editor for magazines and books. She is also a member of Creative Guardian Agency.

Biography

After serving as a small theatre director, playwright, and actor, Asami Ishikawa first debuted as a screenwriter by virtue of animation Shiki (屍鬼) in 2010.

Ishikawa's main scope of work in terms of her screenplays is for children; for example, she wrote screenplay for Hana Kappa (はなかっぱ), a television programme broadcast on NHK Educational TV. Nonetheless, she was famous for inserting horror-themed plots into her screenplays. Apart from television programmes, she also plans, edits, and writes children's books.
