Fumio Maesono (前園 文夫 Maezono Fumio) is a Japanese storyboard artist and episode director. He takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime.

Biography
After working as production advancement and assistant technical director at Shin-Ei Animation (シンエイ動画), Fumio Maesono became a freelance animator. For some stint of time, he was affiliated with The Walt Disney Company of Japan (ディズニージャパン). Maesono used to serve as director for many OVA works produced by The Walt Disney Company of Japan, which implies that his works are always involved with overseas' collaborations.
Maesono joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2006, starting with Episode 441: The Final "Ahh"; in 2007, after finishing the storyboard work of Episode 479: Three Days with Heiji Hattori, Maesono quit the production team and has not returned yet.
