References
Would anyone object to changing the manga references to "Detective Conan" instead of "Case Closed"? I always tend to think that the japanese stuff takes priority over the edited english stuff, personally... CarpetCrawlermessage me 07:40, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- No objection at all. Hell, I've been doing it that way all along. NakagawaRyou 08:26, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- No objections either. That's the way it should be actually: always refer to the Japanese version over the English one. --Maurice 14:47, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Naming
Why don't you just rename "Shinichi" to "Jimmy" as the English Wikipedia do ? (at their DC character list, there is a note : " Do not change Jimmy to Shinichi " 125.165.39.63 04:15, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- Per Antiyonder on the above user's talkpage, "... Shinichi is the original name of the character, and should be retained." CarpetCrawlermessage me 08:16, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Age
This is probably minor, but in the early chapters of the Japanese manga Shinichi's age is given as sixteen and Conan's age as six. (Such as when Ran asks Conan his age on 1.2.18, and by the reporter in the Ski Lodge Murder Case on 15.1.8.) Is the change in age as the manga progresses worth mentioning? - Very much indeed. Especially with citations. I'm not a citation guy, but something like that would definitely need specific File citations. CarpetCrawlermessage me 17:31, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Not Parkour
Saying that Shinichi does Parkour under athletic abilities is wrong. Parkour is a specific discipline, not just a general name for cool looking jumping, climbing, running, acrobatics etc. Unless Shinichi has actually studied Parkour, Parkour is not the right term for what Shinichi does. To offer a comparison here, someone who can fight with a sword does not automatically make them a fencer, because fencing is a specific subset of swordsmanship with characteristic practices and theory.
