Biography

Toshiya Shinohara graduated from Sophia University (上智大学). In 1983, he joined TMS Entertainment. Originallly, he worked at Tokyo Movie (which was then acquired by TMS); later on, he changed to do animation directing, working under the director Osamu Dezaki (出﨑 統) in works such as OVA Aim for the Ace! (エースをねらえ!) and Lupin the Third TV Special Bye Bye, Lady Liberty (バイバイ·リバティー危機一発!), wokring as assistant director and episode director. Later on, he made his debut as a formal director in 1994 with Go! Anpanman Lyrical☆Magical School of Magic (それいけ!アンパンマン リリカル☆マジカルまほうの学校) and started his directing career, until present.
