3D movies
In the years 2005 and 2006 of the Masato Sato directional era for the anime, the production team decided to release two 3D movies in theaters. They were released again in 2009, but up until now, no DVD or other form of product was released for these movies.
Additional concept
Both these 3D movies premiered at the Suntory Museum IMAX in Osaka Prefecture, aligning with the local event which happened at Tempozan, named "Tempozan 10 Days: Exciting Treasure Island". Regarding the first 3D movie, it was later also aired at Shinagawa IMAX Cinema in 2005[1], in Gamagori of Aichi Prefecture in 2007[2], and in Nagasaki Prefecture in 2008[3]. The 3D movies were re-aired in 2009 across cinemas in Japan.
Owing to the fact that these "movies" are of short duration, not many details about the staff producing these movies are known. However, it can be speculated that the poster for the first 3D movie is drawn by Mari Tominaga, who was in charge of character design for the anime back then.
