Chizuru Kakuta (角田 千鶴 Kakuta Chizuru ) is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Chizuru Kakuta is a professional jockey who has won many competitions and races with her favorite horse, White Spirits. She often appears on magazines and books on horse racing. She meets Kogoro and Conan during White Spirits's kidnapping case, as she is one of the suspects of the case. She was forcibly paid along with her two friends by the horse owner, Kozo Tokuyoshi, to kill White Spirits but the three decided otherwise and hatched a plan, along with Masao Shiomi, a horse trailer driver. The day before the kidnapping, she went under disguise to the Mouri Detective Agency to request Kogoro's help and make him see through Tokuyoshi's plan. At the end, Kogoro solves the case and Tokuyoshi is arrested. She could then ride White Spirits again. Her cellphone is purple.

Kakuta is an emotional person as at the end, she cries over White Spirits because he was saved. She is also a caring person.

Plot overview
Thoroughbred Kidnapping Case (Anime: 933-934)
She appears in the kidnapping case when the convoy driving White Spirits to another stable sees her in her car. She then becomes one of the suspects in the case when the horse disappears. Later, after investigation with Kogoro and Takagi, Conan figures out the truth and through Kogoro, reveals the plan she, Yasutaka Hase and Saneaki Nagaura made to save their horse from Tokuyoshi's original murder plan. Later, Tokuyoshi is arrested and she rides White Spirits in a horse race that her three friend attend to.
