The Case of the Furisode at the Hidden Hot Spring on a Snowy Night (秘湯雪闇振袖事件 Hitō Yuki Yami Furisode Jiken) is the 379th and 380th episode of Detective Conan anime. With the first part airing on November 22, 2004 and the second part on the following week on November 29, 2004, it was storyboarded by Yasumi Mikamoto, produced by Minoru Tozawa and Nana Harada and animated by Rei Masunaga and Akiko Kawashima. The screenplay is written by Koujin Ochi, known for his quality scenarios, while the animation offered extensive views of the local snowy nature and the traditional Japanese inn. The story follows Conan, Ran and Kogoro at a hot springs inn in the moutainous Yamagata Prefecture where they meet a group of people producing a TV drama. Under a fake guise of collaboration, it seems tensions are high between the group and two members in particular are the cause of everyone's bad mood. A member of the group, Eri Akechi, whom Kogoro is a fan off, tells them about the local legend of a vengeful "Kimono Goddess". After an alcohol-infused party with the TV crew, the Mouri Family take a late night bath in the hot springs only to find the two aforementioned members stabbed to death in a similar fashion to the legend.
