Kohji Haneda
Kohji Haneda is the biological son of the Hanedas. He died 17 years prior to the timeline in an unsolved murder case.
Shukichi Haneda
Shukichi Haneda, born Akai, is the second child of Tsutomu Akai and Mary Sera and ten years prior to the timeline, was adopted by the Hanedas to fulfill Kohji's dream of becoming a shogi master[1].
Yasuharu Haneda
The head of the wealthy Haneda family, his whereabouts are currently unknown, except for the fact that he called Tsutomu Akai shortly after his son's death 17 years ago[2] and that he adopted Shukichi ten years ago. His full name was written on Shukichi's marriage registration form to Yumi[3]. He has never appeared in person in the series so far. His name is thought to come from that of shogi player Yasuharu Ōyama.
Ichiyo Haneda
Yasuharu's wife. Her name is also revealed in the marriage registration, but she has yet to appear in the series too. Her name may come from shogi player Ichiyo Shimizu.
