Digital Remaster

Digital Remastering is a technique that utilises digital technology to create an "improved reproduction" of the original old video (technically known as "master"; hence the name Remaster). This would in turn produce a new master that might be of higher audio/video quality; in terms of repairing animation works, the video will often appear with higher clarity, stronger colour palettes, brighter luminosity, sharper outlines, purer graphics, and richer details.

Detective Conan official Remasters
On September 22, 2003, the first Detective Conan remastered episode was broadcast (for full list, consult Rerun and Remastered Episodes).
On December 14, 2012, the first 6 movies of Detective Conan began to broadcast during Friday Road Show (金曜ロードショー), with masters that had been digitally remastered. On February 24, 2017, the official digital remaster of the first 6 movies were released via the BD "Detective Conan Movie 20th Anniversary Blu-ray BOX Vol.1 [1997-2006]".
In 2021, Netflix and Crunchyroll began to release digital remasters of Detective Conan episodes that are based on the original/1st broadcast version (and not DVD version).
Netflix Remaster
Starting March 1, 2021, the Japan region of Netflix started to release Detective Conan remaster episodes, yet exclusively in Japan. They release the episodes in sequential batches, separated by year[N 1].
Noteworthy, Netflix removed all mid-episode sponsorship pages, episode previews, New Year's Greetings, and post-episode sponsorship pages; but retained pre-episode sponsorship pages[N 2], Next Conan's Hint, and Joke Card[N 3] in most episodes.

Apart from the Japan region, other regions of Netflix also released Detective Conan remastered episodes, yet the release dates of them were later than that of the Japan region. The removing conventions were apparently different from the Japan version: for example, the France version was lagged behind by half a year and retained the episode preview in the majority of the episodes.
Crunchyroll Remaster
On August 14, 2021, Crunchyroll released their own Detective Conan remastered version of the first 123 episodes (the same batch as Funimation dubbed episodes). This version possesses a brighter colour tone compared to the Netflix version.
Instead of releasing the video in format of 4:3, it was adjusted to 16:9; to fit the video display, gaps on either side of the animation were filled with black backgrounds. In addition, all aspects of the original Detective Conan episode were retained (e.g. pre-episode sponsorship page, mid-episode sponsorship page, episode preview, post-episode sponsorship page, Next Conan's Hint, and Joke Card).
In August 1, 2024, Crunchyroll has removed the remastered episodes for unknown reasons.
