It started at night namely Arisa Nakashima and Susan Trummelperman are on their way home when they screamed due to an alien appearing out of sight. The alien said "We are extraterrestrials" while tapping his throat. Rather than being scared, Arisa and Susan laughed and took a photo with the alien to commemorate and release it to public. And the girls were happy when they took the picture and video. After taking a photo of the alien, someone screamed "It's an alien, help!!!!". After that, he fell down from the stairs and then took his last breath. The two girls, together with the man dressed as an alien, witnessed and captured the scene of the falling man.

After shouting "It's the alien!!!", he loses one gap of the stairs and then he fell down.

The morning after that, the Detective Boys investigated the scene. The boy namely Kota Matsumoto said that it was his fault. Conan asked him why. He said that Takedera plays with them on his day-off only at the children's center. And he say to the alien. "Aliens come to Earth not to invade our planet, but to make friends with us." The boy said that there is no such thing as aliens. And Kota said that they exist. His dead dad told him so.

The alien namely Hitoshi Takedera was hoping to find a witness so word that aliens exists would spread. They said that he was a kind, nice man, but the ultimately caused an accident, and he probably regret that in his life. Conan asked the two girls who witnessed the "accident" and shown the video that they captured.

After that they started to investigate if that was accident or foul play so they questioned who knows the victim freely. Well, neither of them are unemployed. And that man is Tsuneyuki Tamai. Last 6 months, Yazuo Hanzaki was laid off at his job where he worked at. Tamai said that he was blackmailing someone, and went out last night to get money from them. Conan asked who are blackmailing them, and he doesn't know, and he never locked his front door, and inside is not worth stealing.

After they questioned Takedera, Conan was wondering where he got the idea to become an alien, and he said that was Omi Akira. He said that he suggested the place and time where coincidentally the fall happened. Then, the Detective Boys investigated about Omi Akira. Is it really an accident or a murder? Conan and the Detective Boys investigated and found out the truth. What is it?
