Manga to anime changes
- In the anime version, there is a flashback to Makoto Kyogoku the Understudy where Sera asked Ran and Sonoko about Haibara. There are also Conan's flashback to The Spirit Detective's Murder and The Wizard of the Ripples. The flashbacks were not in the manga.
- A scene where Sera arriving in front of Agasa's house and Subaru observing her from Kudo residence is shown at the beginning, which wasn't in the manga.
- In the anime, the suspect questioning is held in another room, while in the manga it is held directly on the alley in front of the room where the murder happened.
- In the manga, the housekeepers appear, and they explain their alibi and answer Conan's question. In the anime, the housekeepers do not appear, but their alibi and the answer to Conan's question is said by Takagi.
- Mary's flashback of Kohji Haneda is removed from the anime.
- In the anime, the hearing aid is discovered by the forensics, then it is brought to the crime scene by Chiba. In the manga, the hearing aid was still on the crime scene, it was discovered by Takagi after he stepped on it.
Trivia
- The Secret of the Moon, the Star, and the Sun was before Haibara transferred in the manga, while in the anime version she didn't want to come along, so Agasa's statement is wrong.
