Kazuo Nogami had joined the Detective Conan anime production since 1996, starting with the 2nd part of Kogoro's Class Reunion Murder Case; and began to serve as organizer, storyboardist, and episode director regularly. Yet starting episode 54 The Ojamanbou Murder Case, in 1997, Nogami transitioned to contributing to the anime under the name of "のがみかずお".
