+ | As Kaitou Kid just made his appearance in the museum, Ginzo Nakamori orders his men to jump and grab him, but Kid throws small bombs in front of them, making it impossible for the riot guards to move forward. As Tsunakura berates them for not moving forward while saying the bombs are fake, Kid denies his claims and insists the bombs are real and that they can try moving forward if they do not care about their legs. The group decides to stay on standby and watch how Kid will magically steal the diamond from an immovable bronze statue. As Kid places a box over the statue's head, Midoriko Nakamori watches Kid's show through the camera on Aoko's brooch. As he places the box, he remembers the time when he was humiliated by Aoko's mother. As he tried the classical pigeon in the hat trick on Aoko, her mother came forward, and when he said there were no hidden tricks, she noticed the bottom was shallower than the hat's exterior, and she pulled the hat's bottom, revealing the hidden pigeon before Kid could start his trick. Getting back to his senses, Kid closes the box on the head and pulls out a stack of detonators, which scares everyone. However, Saguru and Chaki both argue he would probably not destroy the jewel like that, but right as they say that, Kid pulls out all the detonators and stabs them into the box. He then starts a countdown, and after three... two... one... the bomb explodes, sending shatters of bronze all over the room. During the commotion, the lights turn back on and the group notices the box is open and the head is missing. Meanwhile, a frantic Chaki points towards the skylight as he notices Kid escaping through a zeppelin. The group wonders how Kid was able to escape, and note that since all the riot guards were together, and that there were only the four of them, Saguru, Chaki, Ginzo and Tsunakura, and that all four of their voices were heard when Kid exploded the statue, then the thief could not have impersonated anyone. As Aoko hears their deduction, she thinks to herself that they are wrong, since Kid most likely used his cape to hide his mouth so he could imitate the voice of one of those four. She also remembers how in a previous case, Kid disguised exactly like Kaito Kuroba and that he now uses the same voice as him, but of course, she has no clue they are the same person and thinks Kid is doing this to annoy her. She looks again at the escaping Kid on his balloon and remembers something from school.
+ | Earlier, she had asked Akako what were Kid's weak points. She asked him why, and when Aoko said her mother and her were going to catch Kid, she said she did not want him to be caught, but she accepted, as she wanted to see the Kid in a tight spot, since she knows Kid is Kaito. Akako then picks up an eraser and yells "hahahah! Kaitou Kid has obtained the jewel!" She explained that Kid likes to steal in the spotlight and that if only a Kid card is left at the scene or if we only see him escape from far away, then it is probably a dummy, and Kid is most likely still among the crowd. After remembering this, Aoko looks back at the four suspects, but is unsure how she will be able to figure who Kid is. As Tsunakura panicks since his jewel is gone, Ginzo explains that he already has his men check if there are accomplices and made sure there were no dummies in the air, like previous cases where he fell for that trick. Hakuba then points out that Ginzo has someone weird under his nose, and when he scrubs it off, everyone sees that part of his mustache is gone. A riot guard arrives and informs him that no accomplices were spotted, and he decides they will go chase after his balloon and catch him once he lands. Since Tsunakura, Chaki and Hakuba all noticed the mustache peeling off, they devised a plan between themselves. Aoko then whispers into her earphone and asks her mother who she thinks is Kid, but her mother is sleeping due to chronic fatigue. She wakes Midoriko up, who just noticed that the head of the statue is gone. Aoko gets angry since she slept during the important part, but she says she already knew who Kid was going to diguise himself as, and as she watches the statue again, she realizes the truth behind the case.

As Kaitou Kid just made his appearance in the museum, Ginzo Nakamori orders his men to jump and grab him, but Kid throws small bombs in front of them, making it impossible for the riot guards to move forward. Real Life Models
Tsunakura Museum
Tsunakura Museum is modeled after the real-life Art Institute of Chicago Building, a Beaux-Arts building completed in 1893. Tsunakura Museum is shorter than its real-life counterpart, only having 5 windows per side as opposed to the Art Institute's 7 windows. It also incorporates the street lamps outside the museum. The interior is however different, the real-life AIOC Building having Corinthian columns, while the Tsunakura Museum has Ionic columns.
