Taichi Atarashi (新子 太一 Atarashi Taichi) is a Japanese storyboard artist, technical director, and key animator. He takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime and movies.

Biography
Taichi Atarashi was originally affiliated with Studio Wanpack. Atarashi joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2007, starting with Episode 478: Real 30 Minutes, as key animator. Starting 2013, Atarashi began to regularly serve as episode director and key animator for episodes produced by Studio Wanpack (he replaced Tomomi Ikeda as regular episode director).
In 2018, Studio Wanpack was disbanded after producing episode 895. After the disbandment, Atarashi still continued to work for the series under the name of freelance animator; in the same year, he quit the anime production team after finishing the key animation work for Episode 911: The Job Request from Inspector Megure.
Notably, he was considered as teacher by his junior colleague Hiroaki Takagi, who was also in the same studio previously. Nowadays he often works with Takagi.
