One day, Kyosuke's father was asked by his brother, Choichiro, to borrow the Stradivarius. He then attempts to to send back a replica to Kyosuke's father, but was found out. In an argument, Kyosuke's father falls down the stairs. Choichiro orders his family to not call the ambulance and to staged it as robbery. He even went as far to murder Chinami to silence her. This is the cause of Kyosuke's father's death. Kyosuke know all the truth from Emi two years ago shortly before her accident. Kyosuke then decided to take his revenge and killed Furuto the year after. When it was clear that Choichiro didn't have long to live, he decided to hurry up the killings.
