Resolution

The culprit is Kaede Yashiro. Her motive was that she had written her very own movie script that she poured her heart and soul into. When many others read her script there were no doubts that her script would make an amazing movie. However, this would be proven false as her movie was directed by Teruomi who ruined her movie by casting his wife Mowako as the lead instead of having a pro do the acting.

As a result of Mowako’s mediocre performance during the filming the movie quickly bombed. Kaede blamed Teruomi for using his connections to forcibly have his wife cast as the lead and Mowako for doing such a terrible job with her performance.

Conan as Kogoro states that he read her entire script, and how it is about a woman who fell in love with the man of her dreams however tragedy struck and she lost her one true love. After reading the script he realized that this wasn’t something Kaede simply threw overnight, she wrote this movie based on her own personal experience. She admits this to be true as she had lost her husband in an accident, that tragedy inspired her to write the script for the movie, it should’ve been one of the best sellers instead it was the exact opposite because of Teruomi’s actions.
