|summary=While driving on a family trip in the Chiba Prefecture, Kogoro's car breaks down. They stop by a house, where Conan, Ran, and Kogoro meet a lawyer, and his extended family of workers, secretaries, and friends. The lawyer is getting threatening letters from a man with the initials "T.K." The next morning, the dog, Johan, is acting strangely. The lawyer leaves the house for a fishing trip, and Ran, Kogoro, and Conan walk the dog. It reacts wildly when it sees a suspicious person in a red hat, on a boat. Later that day, the lawyer's boat is found, halfway sinking, and his body is found deep in the ocean. A local inspector and detective arrive at the scene, and the man with the initials "T.K." is found out to be an old client of the lawyers, and becomes the number one suspect. However, when they go to his apartment, they find him dead, seemingly hanging himself in a suicide. However, the clues say otherwise. Could someone have killed both the lawyer and the client?}}

|summary=Conan discovers that five years before this, a man was killed in a "perfect crime," by the man who had killed himself, with the initials "T.K." Conan uses this clue, as well as other clues via help from an old boat rental owner, to deduce how the lawyer was killed. He then visits the old home where the man who was killed ten years before lived, and gets information from an old lady there, and discovers a dog house sign that says "Johann." From this, Conan deduces who the murderer of both men is, and knocks out Kogoro to solve the case, trying to get the murderer to admit themselves that they had done it.}}

=== Status of Case Closed ===

Although never official, Funimation has stopped dubbing Case Closed. They dubbed 130 episodes and 6 movies. However, Although they dubbed season 5, only half the season was dubbed. 11 Episodes were left undubbed. Including the introduction of the important Major Character, Ai Haibara. Ironically, Funimation dubbed movies that featured Ai Haibara as a main character, although she was renamed Vye. This led to plot holes for the english dub viewers, as Ai just drops in during the movies, leaving fans who have never seen the Japanese Anime to question where she came from and who she is.
