Part 1
While wandering along a street with their friends, Conan and Ai discuss their recent encounter with Superintendent Kuroda[1] and the possibility that he may - or may not - be Rum of the Black Organization, and whether he has found out about Ai's secret identity. Ai takes out her cell phone to check a message from Professor Agasa, indicating that nothing is amiss... but then she suddenly freezes, aghast. Fearing the worst, Conan checks her phone, but the display merely shows a picture showing Ai's idol Ryusuke Higo on a secret shopping tour with Yoko Okino by his side, accompanied by a tabloid newflash alleging a romance between those two celebrities!
Returning back to the Mouri Detective Agency, Conan is not surprised to find Kogoro himself crestfallen over Yoko's ostensible romance with Higo. When Ran suggests that he investigate the veracity of this rumor, Kogoro vehemently declines, but swiftly changes his mind when a grim Ai shows up at the agency to "officially" consign him to snoop on the couple.
