Can Kaitou really steal the jewel with Aoko on the same train as him, and what happens when Conan learns that another person is trying to steal the jewel for themselves?

A diamond thief accidentally calls the Mouri Detective Agency, and calls Conan. The thief sounds exactly like Heiji, only with no Kansai accent, so Conan calls Heiji over to their home to call everyone with a number similar to theirs, to see if anyone responds. After meeting up with Inspector Ginzo Nakamori, Heiji, Conan, and Ginzo all confront the person who lost the diamond, and then chase after the real thief. But what happens if there is also ANOTHER person looking for the diamond?

Professor Agasa has a challenge that he has written up for the Detective Boys, and he jokingly pretends that he is kidnapped. However, thinks take a bad turn when he is really kidnapped, and Conan and the Detective Boys do their best to find out where he is. However, their chances are very low as Agasa's glasses are gone, so he cannot see all that well when describing the things around him.

8 | The Casebook of Female High-School Detective Sonoko Suzuki | March 12, 2008[9] | |||||||
Sonoko volunteers to write and direct a play for her local church's charity, wanting to also be the star of the play. She decides to make it a murder mystery, where she outsmarts Kogoro. However, after telling a portion of the play to Ran, Conan, and the Detective Boys, Haibara finds a lot of flaws in the plot, including a serious lack of evidence which would expose the murderer. Can Conan and the Detective Boys help Sonoko write her play by that night? Also, what happens when Ran decides to call a certain famous high school detective for advice?

Conan has a cold, and he is stuck in bed, sick, and unable to go to school. While resting, he overhears Sonoko telling Ran to dump Shinichi and date someone else, because he is never around. Conan gets angry and goes to Agasa's house, where Haibara announces that she has an antidote for him to try out. He takes it and passes out, but when he awakes, he finds that not only he, but also the world around him has aged 10 years, and that Ran is considering marriage to Tomoaki Araide.

Kid is on his latest heist on Koyakejima Island when the Detective Boys knock him out of the sky and crashes to a tree in a forest. Mistaken as Shinichi Kudo by Genta, Ayumi, and Mitsuhiko, he must go with the kids to capture Kid (i.e. himself). But unexpected things happen, and the foursome ends up stumbling upon a big discovery.

While there, he sees a man who is trying to confirm his alibi for when his Grandmother was murdered, as he was drunk and passed out in the park at the time, but has no one that can verify his alibi, and he is the prime suspect. Shinichi decides to help. Due getting so concentrated in this case, Shinichi gets into a big fight with Ran Mouri, the longest fight they've ever been in. After Shinichi helps solve the case, both him and Ran and shown walking home from school, both wanting to end the fighting. They both see cherry blossom's, and hear someone sing "Amazing Grace", which ends the week long fight between the two. And Conan narrates how he didn't realize that song was going how this will help in a case 3 years later. | ||||||
3 | Magic File 3: Shinichi and Ran, Memories of Mahjong Tiles and Tanabata | April 18, 2009[16] | ||||
Kogoro is playing mahjong with his friends, while Conan watches him. After Kogoro embarrasses himself and loses, Conan relays the story to Agasa, Haibara, and the Detective Boys. The Detective Boys are then taught by Conan, Haibara, and Agasa, the rules of mahjong. The next day, Conan and Ran both try to help Kogoro in winning, to no avail. Ran and Conan play with other unused mahjong tiles. One of Kogoro's friends who is not playing brings in a bamboo tree, which is used in Tanabata festivals, and this leads Ran to remembering an old Tanabata festival from when her and Shinichi were younger. Ran relays a story to both Conan and Kogoro's friend, about how she wished that Eri and Kogoro would get back together, and her wish had indeed came true, for only one day, before they fought again. A mean kid from her class makes fun of Ran for having separated parents, and while Sonoko comes to Ran's aid, Shinichi just silently listens. Later, he bribes the kid with a photo of Ran (The boy had a crush on her,) to help show Eri the card with Ran's wish on it, as a way for the boy to make up for how he treated her. After the story, a man at the mahjong game gets angry and leaves, thinking that Kogoro has left a message for him with unused tiles. This leads to Conan narrating about how he remembers a case involving a serial killer and mahjong tiles. The next day, Conan agrees to go bug hunting with the Detective Boys. | ||||||

Heiji narrates that after the day of the airship hijacking incident, Conan, Heiji, and Kazuha attempt to head to an okonomiyaki restaurant before Conan has to leave Osaka. After getting past a talkative neighbor, a group of students challenging Heiji's deduction abilities, and crossing a busy street, the three run into a woman who asks them to take care of her baby, Kaoru. After the women disappears for a long period of time, Heiji realizes that the baby wearing female clothing is actually a boy and deduces that the woman kidnapped the infant. The woman soon returns and explains she found her missing husband, Hikaru, and had to chase him down. Hikaru explains he left their home after learning his Kaoru was not his. Conan and Heiji realize whats going on when that the names Hikaru and Kaoru were characters from the book The Tale of Genji. Heiji explains that the Hikaru must have overheard his wife say that in the book, Kaoru is not Hikaru Genji's son. After sorting out the misunderstanding, the three continue on their trip until Conan receives a phone call from Ran telling him they have to leave thirty minutes earlier than expected and thus forces Conan to leave without eating. | ||||||
