Background
A diminutive old man with long, antenna-like eyebrows, Musashi is indeed the real famous samurai from the early Edo Period. Thought to have died in 1645, he is instead still alive and 400 years old. He has been guarding the Raijin-ken for centuries and now trains Yaiba Kurogane, who has been able to pull the sword from it's stone. Having won 60 fights in his lifetime his skill is still amazing, but even though he has unbelievable reflexes and skill he is prone to back spasms and has a fragile hip. Though a more responsible less lenient master than Yaiba's father, he is still as gluttonous and lecherous as Yaiba is.
In flashbacks he is shown to be tall and attractive, but there is no resemblance to his current look. He looks so different in fact that his revived rival Kojiro Sasaki and pupil Jubei Yagyu could not recognize him at all.
His trademark laugh is Hyo~hyohyohyo.
Like the real life Musashi, he uses Niten Ichi-ryuu (二天一流 Two Heavens as One Style ), also known as Two Sword Style.
