− | <spoiler></spoiler> | + | <spoiler>The culprits are '''Satoshi Mizunuma''' and '''Tomomi Kashiyama'''. Originally, Mizunuma planned to hide the jack-o'-lanterns in his house. However, his son suddenly came to his house with some coworkers. He then decide to hide it in Kokubo's car along with the jack-o'-lantern balloons with Tomomi's help. Mizunuma removed three ballons so that the jack-o'-lanterns can be put inside. However, the wind blows away the balloons, which was later seen by Kajiyama and Kuwano as ghosts. The reason they also hid their own jack-o'-lanterns is that no suspicion would fall on passerby. |

+ | Both later admit the crime, but they have a reason. Turns out that Tamie's students already made a jack-o'-lantern as a surprise for Tamie during her hospitalization. However, Tamie was discharged early and managed to make one on her own. In order to not disappoint the children, they hid Tamie's jack-o'-lantern. Later, the children arrive at Tamie's house and surprise her with the jack-o'-lantern they have made. Conan and Azusa will handle the hidden jack-o'-lanterns.

+ | In the end, the jack-o'-lantern contest was a huge success. The episode ends with Conan saying: "However, during that time, we were caught up in a horrifying plot taking place in Shibuya", which is hint towards the plot of movie 25. The final scene shows Conan riding his skateboard through the crowded Shibuya.</spoiler>
