This is a page that lists all the Mystery Tours (ミステリー ツアー Misuterī Tsuā ), that consists of a series of anime-original episodes that appear in Detective Conan since 2001. Each case is separated in two parts, where the characters will travel to a specific region of Japan to solve one (or more) cases. A special attention is dedicated to the landscape and the historical landmarks of the country. It is the best occasion for all viewers to discover the marvelous treasures of Japan. Each broadcast is preceded by an event organized by JR West that happened for a few months in the region where the case took place.
In 2005, due to Amagasaki derailment, the mystery tour event that preceded Sword of the Eight-Headed Serpent was canceled. However, the episodes were aired as planned with no trains featured. The event was also suspended in 2006, and in 2007 it was organized in collaboration with Naruto: Shippuden. Mystery tour event resumed with Detective Conan in 2008.
The series were aired at the end of the event on November or December each year until 2015. Since 2016, the series broadcast is shifted to February or March the following year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no mystery tour in 2020 and 2021, thus the series is absent in 2021 and 2022. There is also no mystery tour event in 2023, thus the series is absent in 2024.
