Masakazu Yamazaki (山崎 正和 Yamazaki Masakazu?) is a Japanese animator. He takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime and movies.

Biography

Masakazu Yamazaki was originally affiliated with Studio Wanpack, and became a freelance animator after the studio's disbandment. Yamazaki joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2004, starting with Episode 348: Love, Ghosts, and World Heritage (Part 1). In 2009, he began to serve as a regular key animator and animation director for Studio Wanpack.

Yamazaki took over Masahisa Koyata's position as a regular episode director for Studio Wanpack, starting with Episode 549: The Revolving Sushi Mystery (Part 1); it was not until Episode 602: The Devil Hidden in the Tennis Court when he formally stepped down from the role. Whereupon, the regular episode director for the studio was changed to Tomomi Ikeda.

In addition, from Episode 701: The Jet-Black Mystery Train (Departure) onwards, Yamazaki participated the Detective Conan anime production under the name of a freelance animator solely.
