Spanish Yaiba Manga

The Spanish version of the Yaiba manga was first published by Planeta DeAgostini. The first volume was published in June 2006 and the series was completed in May 2007 with the release of volume 21, as each release combined two Japanese volumes into one. Readers noted the quality was worse than the original, with pages being enlarged and edges cut off, as well as many text bubbles being left blank and spelling mistakes being made. Under the new imprint Planeta Cómic, the series was rebooted in January 2017 and the 12 volumes we re-released in the same format, save for some translation changes. The second run was completed in June 2017. The 2017 reboot is translated by Nacha Medrano. In January 2020, the 12-volume series started to be released in two E-book formats by Planeta, reusing Medrano's translation. The original price was 9,99 euros, but it was reduced in early 2022 to 9,49 euros and in early 2023 to 7,49 euros for volume 1. As part of the generalized raise of the price of goods in Europe after the Covid-19 pandemic, prices were raised for the paperback volumes in Mid-2023 to 12,95 euros from the original price of 11,95 euros. After all e-books were released by the end of 2020, the second E-book format was removed in 2023 for volumes 1-2 and 11-12 ; the latter are to be released again in December 2024.
