During a trip, Professor Agasa's car breaks down and the Detective Boys are stranded. A man passes by but makes fun of their misfortune. He enters his mansion and suddenly an explosion happens. Inspector Yuminaga arrives on the scene, and investigates along with Conan and the Detective Boys. Conan says the murderer is the man's wife.

Conan solves the case by creating a trap with Yuminaga, Agasa, and the Detective Boys, so the man's wife would reveal herself. He reveals that static electricity was used and that she had been trying to kill him for three weeks. Afterwards, she reveals that her husband caused her father to die by refusing to help him.

Mouri, Ran, and Conan are at their usual diner but learn that Azusa Enomoto's brother is a suspect in a murder. She says he's innocent. Afterwards, the police investigate and keep an eye on her. She later escapes Takagi's sight to meet her brother. There they learn the person who arranged their meeting is the culprit who plans to kill them both. With Conan's help, the police are able to solve it and capture the culprit before he could harm anyone.

Mouri, Ran, and Conan are attending a play when Conan overhears one of the actor's murder plan. He is later found eaves dropping and placed in a coffin. Later he over hears the other two actors who also plan a murder, meaning a murder triangle has been formed. After they seemingly all die, Conan is revealed to manage to save all of them having escaped from the coffin through a back door.

Eri takes Ran and Conan to a dinner with a friend who is a karate expert, but later her friend's husband is found murdered. Inspector Megure arrives at the scene, and investigates along with Conan, Eri, Takagi, Chiba, and Officer Tome. Conan figures the suspect is the friend, but her alibi stands solid.

Ran decides to phone her father to ask for help, but he is busy playing Mahjong. Later Eri realizes that a tape recording was used to create the alibi of her husband. The wife then reveals that her husband cheated on her with a friend's wife, but Eri revealed he did so because he was jealous that his wife was inlove with the husband of the women he was cheating on. Later, Conan finds out Mouri purposely helped his wife solve the case.

A person who murders people with a hammer dubbed "Hammer Man" has be spotted after a murder heading to an apartment. Sato and Takagi stalk out the apartment. After realizing there was no activity in the apartment, they enter the suite and find a man who's hanged himself. They then realize that the man who hanged himself is not the hammer man and that the culprit has impersonated a delivery worker and escaped.

Inspector Megure, Sato, Chiba, Takagi, and Tome investigate the scene along with Conan, Ran, and Sonoko. After investigating the apartment, they find out the hammer man was actually a woman. They manage to capture her before she escapes, with some help from Shiratori. Later, Kiyonaga Matsumoto is awaken by a nightmare from a past case.

A blind rich woman named Shoudo Kuromi asks Mouri to help her find a boy who saved her life in the past; the only clue is that the boy should have a large scar across his torso. She has been able to narrow it down to two people and they are both staying at her house. Conan meanwhile notices the police are stalking the woman's house. Kiyonaga Matsumoto tells Kogoro that a serial killer from a past case may be there as the killer also has a scar across his chest. During a bath, Mouri notices that the butler also happens to have a scar across his torso.

After going over the characteristics of the boy, Conan realizes who it is. During the midnight snack, Conan uses Kogoro to solve the case. Conan reveals the boy who was honest would never have taken the money. He reveals the identity of the boy to be the butler, Taisuke Houya; The boy's nickname was revealed to be "gari" because he liked to eat Gari. Later, Kiyonaga barges in and accuses one of the men with the scar as a serial killer from a past case. The man reveals that he copied the scar from a strange man a few years ago whom they realize is the serial killer. The next day, a criminal psychologist named Douji Hiramune challenges the serial killer to reveal himself. He happens to leave in the same apartment as Ayumi where the Detective Boys are staying with. Ai later reveals to Conan she saw a mysterious man whistling a song, which is the serial killer's trademark.

Conan finds Hiramune murdered with the letter "Z" burned into his back. The police department arrive and are confused as the letter they were expecting was "N" as the previous victims had the letters "E", "S", "W" and were thought to be Cardinal direction. They notice the Hiramune's left hand was on his keyboard on the keys "Ctrl" and "C" and his right hand holding the wire of his mouse. Takagi and the Detective Boys decide to accompany him and his interrogation of the victim's relatives. Conan than realizes the victims share one thing in connection, Mahjong.

Later, Takagi comes to the conclusion that Kibo Dokurou is the serial kller. Conan notices something is strange about Hiramune's dying message, and realizes his message indicates the person who murdered him was a copycat killer. Conan reveals to Sato that Hiramune was actually the serial killer from the past. Conan reveals that Nabei Eiki is the murderer. Takagi who was ordered to bring Eiki to the police station was taken hostage by Eiki. Takagi is shot in an attempt to subdue Eiki from shooting the police. Takagi is later revealed to be saved by a mahjong tile in his shirt pocket. Takagi and Sato share their first kiss, with Takagi in the hospital. Takagi and Sato kiss for the first time!

The Detective Boys decide investigate a spooky Château when a man starts to live there. They find the château and its garden have been remodelled. The next day, the man living in the château, Rokuro Wada is revealed to have died. They learn from Keiichi Yagami, Wada's agent who sells his paintings, that Wada had been working on a masterpiece at the château for three months. They decide to search the château for the painting but to no avail. Afterwards they are visited by Wada's old aunt Saeko Takatoo and her caretaker Mina Eguichi who reveals that Wada sent them a letter telling them to visit the château tomorrow to view the masterpiece. Eguichi reveals Wada's masterpiece is going to help Takatoo regain her memories which she lost from an accident a year ago. Conan finds a photo revealing a château Takatoo owned in the past and realizes what Wada's masterpiece is. Conan reveals the masterpiece would be complete tomorrow. The next day, the flowers at the château have bloomed revealing a scenery similar to the one in the photo. The scenery causes Takatoo to regain her memories of her life

Jirokichi Suzuki receives a letter from Kaitou Kid which reveals that Kid plans on opening Jirokichi's impenetrable safe, the Iron Tanuki. The letter however is not written in Kid's usual style raising the ideal that an imposter is after Jirokichi's safe. Sonoko invites Ran, Kogoro, and Conan to Jirokichi's house. After examining the security of the safe, Kaitou Kid's card, in its usual style, is found confirming Kaitou Kid's plan to open the safe. Conan suspects that Kaitou Kid is one of the three newly hired workers of Jirokichi. Jirokichi however countinues to proclaim it to be the work of an imposter, causing Conan to suspect Jirokichi's behavior.

The nearly hired maid and adviser inform Conan of Jirokichi's strange behavior. They reveal that after dinner, two places are always missing and Jirokichi always brings his cane with him to the safe. Jirokichi asks the maid for a hand and they head to his room. Jirokichi leaves with his bodyguard for a drive. Shortly after, an unconscious Jirokichi is found tied up and his room and a note of Kaitou Kid is found on the safe. This causes the whole police force that are guarding the safe to abandon their position and chase after "Jirokichi". Conan meanwhile enters the room with the safe revealing the maid was Kaitou Kid in disguise. Conan reveals the first message by "Kaitou Kid" was actually done by Jirokichi asking for Kaitou's kid assistance. Conan also reveals Jirokichi purposely placed suspicion on himself in order to clear the area of cops so Kaitou Kid can open the safe. Inside the safe is revealed to be Jirokichi's dog, Lupin.

While on a walk, Conan, Ran, and Kogoro heard a gunshot from a house. While heading to investigate, Kogoro was unable to catch a masked man that runs past them. Conan finds a dead man with dried blood and white powdery substance on his shirt. The man, Hisaemon Yaguchi, is revealed to have died hours ago and his three sons are the suspects to the murder. Inspector Jugo Yokomizo arrives at the scene. After investigating the three suspects, Conan tranquilizes Kogoro and with his voice changing bow-tie, reveals that the murder was an accident. Conan reveals that the eldest son Rokuro Yaguchi witnessed his father's death through the webcam. The video shows that Hisaemon had a heart attack and accidentally shot himself. Conan also reveals that after his son tried to rob his safe, he cried in sorrow as evidenced by the salt on Hisaemon. Once the police were able to open Hisaemon's safe, it is revealed Hisaemon signed a loan contract to continue supporting his sons.
540	-	The Day Kogoro Mouri Ceased Being a Detective (Part 1)	July 11, 2009			TV Original	Voice
Kogoro receives a request from a client named Ryouzou Gamou to find a witness to confirm his alibi. On the sixth day Gamou calls Kogoro and tells him he has lost hope in him. The next day, Gamou is found hanged in a forest an hour in distance away. Inspector Megure, Takagi, Chiba, and Tome all are investigating. The police suspect it to be suicide but Mori reveals it is a murder, as Gamou could have killed himself at home if he wanted to. After interrogating Gamou's nephew, Kyousuke Arai, Kogoro returns home to find news reporters who question Kogoro about the suicide revealed to be murder. The next day, Kogoro heads to the horse track and meets up with detective Isao Takeoka, the detective who falsely accused Gamou five years ago. They work together and investigate Ryouzou's ties and end up at his nephew's house. They interrogate Arai and reveal his motive for the murder would be the inheritance. The next day, Arai is found in his house hanged and Kogoro decides to close his detective agency by removing its sign.
541	-	The Day Kogoro Mouri Ceased Being a Detective (Part 2)	July 18, 2009			TV Original	Names of fish
The Police continue their search for the suspect of the murder. Kogoro is forced by a fat woman who is intrigued with him to go jogging. He defeats robbers after her jewelry and is escorted to the hospital. Once there, Kogoro overhears a patient discuss Gamou and his medical test which took place on the day Kogoro met with him. Kogoro investigates and heads to Gamou's company to retrieve a recording of the victim's voice. However the culprit steals the recording from Kogoro and escapes. Conan tells Kogoro that Gamou filed a complain to a company and that the company has a recording of the phone call. Kogoro realizes who the suspect is and calls Takeoka to meet with him. Once there, Kogoro reveals Takeoka has been impersonated Gamou half a month before meeting him and reveals Takeoka was also the one calling Kogoro pretending to be Gamou. He reveals Takeoka to be the murderer. Takeoka reveals that his wife was the witness who accused Gamou of his crime five years ago. On the day his wife died, she apologized to Takeoka for her mistaken accusation. Takeoka realized Gamou was indeed the criminal five years ago and desired revenge against him. After telling Kogoro his story, Takeoka proceeds to jump off a cliff but is saved by Kogoro.
542	-	Ikkaku Rock's Disappearing Fish (Part 1)	July 25, 2009			V64 - F1~F3	Diver's watch
After fishing, Conan and the Detective Boys are picked up at a fishing dock by Subaru Okiya while the professor is busy. On the way home, they decide to explore an island named Ikkaku Rock and come upon a dead woman's body. Conan deduces, from her wristwatch bearing her name, the woman to be Akamine Hikari, the daughter of the head of a famous company. Conan reveals that Akamine was murdered and reveals that her dying message were the names of the fishes "Mackerel, Carp, Sea Bream, and Flounder" in Kanji. Akamine's diving companions Ohto Rokusuke, Aosato Shuuhei, Kaita Yasuji, arrive on the island and reveal that Akamine went missing on their last diving trip but they thought she was okay due to her message "Take care of the rest".
543	-	Ikkaku Rock's Disappearing Fish (Part 2)	August 1, 2009			V64 - F1~F3	Crayon
While Inspector Jugo Yokomizo interrogates the three, the Detective Boys try to figure out the meaning of the dying message. Conan realizes that on Akamine's watch, the word "Fish" is scratched out and finds out the meaning of the dying message. Conan reveals Aosato Shuuhei is the name spelt when the Kanji of Fish is removed from the dying message. He reveals Aosato cut Akamine's diving regulator and leaves her on the island after promising he would return with help. After she died Aosato returns and exchanges the regulator to hide the cut and uses Akamine's regulator to leave, causing her lipstick to appear on his face. Aosato confesses his crime and reveals Akamine caused the death of their past companion Yoshirou and he murdered her in revenge. Aosato then unveils his knife and holds Ayumi hostage demanding an escape route. Subaru disarms him and saves Ayumi and Aosato is arrested. Later that night, Subaru is seen drinking bourbon whiskey.

Conan, Kogoro, and Ran all attend a concert at a local department store. After the drummer meets the three, Ran tells him about a CD she is looking for, and he tells her to come with him to the storage room to find it. While there, they discover the lead vocalist, dead, in the storage room. Inspector Megure, Takagi, Chiba, and Tome all arrive at the scene, and we learn that this is a locked room murder case. The body has green crayon on it, and strange markings. Can Conan figure out the culprit, as well as their trick?
545	-	The Witch Enshrouded by Fog (Part 1)	September 5, 2009			V63 - F9~F11	Candy
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are all driving on a foggy road, when they meet up with a road block with a police force, led by recently mde Inspector Misao Yamamura. Yamamura explains to them that there is a white FD that is challenging people to race their car in the fog, and the FD somehow is able to float in the air. The FD is thought to be driven by a "witch," based off of a legend from years before. Yamamura's grandmother even claims to have seen the with, waving to her after the race between here and the grandmother was over. Ran calls Yumi and Sato for advice, but neither of them have any leads. Kogoro, Conan, and Ran decide to go next time themselves, to face off with the FD. There they finally meet the witch, who escapes them. Conan and Kogoro deduce that the "witch" may be a man or a woman, and Kogoro calls Yamamura to tell him to stop all cars that have passed that are white FD's. A set of three FD's are stopped, and they all have two people in them. Can Conan figure out the identity of the witch, as well as the tricks used?

Thanks to the title of a song that Kogoro's idol, Yoko Okino, is playing at a television show later that week, Conan is able to figure out the trick of the mysterious witch. With the help of Inspector Yamamura, he is able to capture the witch! However, after the witch and their accomplice escapes, Yumi and Sato show up to help out, and capture the suspects. Also, Yumi reveals a funny tidbit about Sato's past: Sato is the "witch" from four years ago!
547	-	Two Days with the Culprit (First Day)	September 19, 2009			TV Original	Window wiping
A man is shown accidentally shooting the President of a large gaming company, and then fleeing the scene. Conan, Ran, and Sonoko are at a mall, where they are using Conan to get a discount on some cake. While there, they spot Chiba and Takagi looking for suspicious individuals. Conan eavesdrops on them and Inspector Megure. The man who shot the President has kidnapped a little girl in the mall. Thanks to Conan's help, the girl is freed, but the man kidnaps Conan! Ran and Kogoro do their best to figure out Conan's location, and Kogoro goes on the hunt for clues. Kogoro learns that the President was not very popular in his company, and was angering three individuals in the company, including the shooter's friend, a secretary, and the Vice President. However, Conan discovers that the man is not armed, and is not going out of his way to treat Conan like a hostage. While trying to talk to the man, the lights go out in their hideout, and the man is shot by a mysterious individual. Conan and the man escape the hideout, and are saved in Agasa's car. Conan belives that this man may not be a criminal after all...

After avoiding violent situations with Ran and Kogoro, the man pleads his case to Conan. Kogoro, Conan, and Agasa all begin an investigation. Conan discovers the missing murder weapon. The man claims that the gun he used was not a real gun, but an air gun. Conan deduces that the man is not a murderer, and was used by somebody else to do their dirty work. Kogoro interrups Megure's investigation in his office the next day, and Conan and the shooter show up, with the shooter pretending to have kidnapped Conan. He wants the shooter the stick the gun to Conan's head. Conan belives the real murderer will try to save Conan, because he will know the gun isn't real. Conan's plan works, and he stuns Kogoro to announce the real murderer.
549	-	The Revolving Sushi Mystery (Part 1)	October 3, 2009			V63 - F3~F5	Method of eating sushi
Agasa promises to take Haibara, Conan, and the Detective Boys to a fancy sushi place. Instead, they go to a place with revolving sushi. While there, they see a man act arrogant and rude to various people in the restaurant. Later, that man is killed from poison. Who could have done this, and how could they have done it? All three suspects have a perfectly good chance to poison the man.
550	-	The Revolving Sushi Mystery (Part 2)	October 10, 2009			V63 - F3~F5	Kojima-san
After some investigating, Conan is able to solve the case. He has Agasa put on a "deduction show," and the Detective Boys assist Agasa in his deductions. The killer reveals that this murder was an act of revenge over the man having humiliated them, making their wife leave them.
551	-	The Culprit is Genta's Dad (Part 1)	October 17, 2009			V63 - F6~F8	Tokyoite
There is a nation-wide Kojima-san contest, where all Kojima's are able to participate. There is a stamina, writing, and singing contest. Genta's father is surprisingly one of the three finalists. However, the man in charge of the contest is found murdered before the final round can begin, having fallen to his death from a flight of stairs. Inspector Megure, Detective Takagi, and Detective Chiba arrive at the scene. Conan and Inspector Megure believe that one of the three Kojima finalists is the murderer, which includes Genta's own father! Can Conan figure out the murderer? Also, Conan does not know which of the three is Genta's father!

Conan tells Agasa and Haibara to keep the Detective Boys away from the scene, as Genta may be upset by his father being a suspect. Through an investigation, Conan figures out who the murderer is. When the murderer is confronted, Genta's father reveals himself, as he is a very proud man who hates liars. Genta's father, Genji, is then shown walking with Conan, Haibara, Agasa, and the Detective Boys.

Inspector Megure and Detective Takagi are interrogating a man who was arrested for murder. They bring in Kogoro, as he knew the man from a murder trial years before. The man is on parole, but on trial for the murder of a crooked police officer. Kogoro tries to get him to talk, but he remains silent. So, Conan and Takagi visit the crime scene to try to figure out what really happened. Could the interrogated man be hiding something?
554	-	Stork Mystery Tour (Ran's Search Chapter)	November 7, 2009			TV Original	Detective Boys Badge
Conan accidentally sprained his ankle when he saw Ran talking with Dr. Araide, and it still hasn't been healed. Conan, Ran, Kogoro, and the Detective Boys visit a place where a tour and festival are going on. While there, they meet various people, and Ran finds a run-away girl. The girl, Haruna, is discovered to have been missing for a while, and now it seems that Ran has gone missing as well! To help in the search, Heiji and Kazuha also show up. Heiji, Kogoro, and Conan investigate, while Kazuha takes control of the kids. Later, we see that a man has knocked out Ran, and kidnaped her! Will Conan find Ran?

After an investigation, Conan and Heiji are able to solve the case! Could there be two kidnapers? And could there be a reason that Haruna has been running around all over the town? Even with a sprained ankle, Conan is still on the culprit's pursuit!

Conan, Kogoro, and Ran are driving, when they see a car crash, with a car in the river, up in smoke! Unfortunately, they are unable to rescue the man, but the other man involved in the accident is able to be saved. A police investigation concludes that the crash was an accident, but Conan believes otherwise. Could this be more than just an accident, and possibly a murder?
557	-	A Dangerous Party of Two	November 28, 2009			V65 - F6~F7	Red paint
Conan has a day off... or so he thinks. He gets a call from Agasa and Haibara, saying that their car broke down, and they're getting picked up by a man and a woman in a car. However, things make a turn for the worst, as the man and woman are acting very strangely... they want to go to Mouri's Detective Agency, and keep mentioning things like "half-kill," and know about Conan's personality! Could these people be members of the Black Organization? Conan re-assures Haibara and Agasa that things are fine, and the man and woman are revealed to be none other than Inspector Kansuke Yamato and Detective Yui Uehara! They have come to Mouri and Conan to ask about a case that they cannot solve...

Yamato and Euhara takes Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to a mansion. Euhara reveals that the man was owned by a rich man in the past; The man one day decided to search for five talented people and gave the five a room in the mansion until they have reached their dreams. Euhara reveals that six people, Shūsaku Akashi, Aoi Kobashi, Naoki Midorikawa, Shōji Yamabuki, Takuto Momose, and Shirō Naiko, referred to each others as colors that sound alike to their names. They were called Red (赤 Aka), Blue (青 Ao), Green (緑 Midori), Golden Yellow (山吹 Yamabuki), Pink (桃色 Momoiro), and White (白 Shiro) respectively. Yamato reveals that the doors in the mansion swung outward and that someone used a pile of boxes filled with books to trap Akashi inside a room. They examine the room to find one wall of the room painted red and in the center of the room a white and black chair placed back to back and nailed into the ground with the white chair facing the red wall. Yamato's rival, Takaaki Morofushi who's name can be read in Chinese as Koumei, arrives and reveals he was the first to find the body as he was delivering flowers to the late Aoi who died from a heart attack in the storage room of the house. Conan reveals that the culprit knew the door would open outwards in the house and the location of the boxes of books which means the culprit is one of the three people who use to live in the mansion.

Yamato tells Koumei to take Ran and Conan with him to investigate the four suspects. They learn that Akashi and Aoi were avid chess fan and that Aoi was adored by all her friends. After investigating the four, they believe Naiko is involved in the murder in some way and travel to his apartment to arrest him. Upon arrival, they find that Naiko has been strangled and that the culprit had spray painted the wall in front of Naiko red. Koumei then heads off to investigate the case on his own.
560	-	The Mansion of Death and the Red Wall (The Late Koumei)	December 19, 2009			V65 - F8 ~ V66 - F1	Italy
Koumei investigates the crime scene at the mansion and realizes who the culprit is. Before he could text his answer to Yamato, he is knocked unconscious by the culprit. The building is set ablaze and Koumei is saved by Euhara. At the hospital, Conan and Yamato deduced from Koumei's incomplete text "The late Koumei" was a saying which was alluded from the Battle of Wuzhang Plains; the moral of the story is that one can have great influence even after death. They believe that the culprit murdered Akashi to avenge Aoi's death. Conan and Yamato then realize what Akashi's dying message means.

Koumei regains consciousness, together they conclude that they lack the evidence to capture the culprit and thus decide to empty the Empty Fort Strategy to lure the culprit out. Using the strategy, they created the sense that no officers are guarding Naiko's apartment and successfully lure Naoki Midorikawa. Yamato reveals that Akashi had katakana spray painted on his wall indicating Naoki to be the murderer. Naiko, who was meeting his old friends to ask for money, finds Akashi and having misread the message began to spray it over with red paint cans. He realized that the message was indicating Naoki, takes a picture of the message, and uses it to extort money from Midorikawa. Conan reveals that Akashi had prepared the room to indicate the murderer to be Midorikawa even if the message was painted over. Conan reveals that the white chair was facing the red wall while the black chair was facing the white wall. This corresponds to chess piece colors where white makes the first move. Conan explains that the message tells a person to look at the red wall then look at the white wall; Doing so causes one to see a green complementary color afterimage which indicates Midorikawa. Midorikawa confesses and explains that he blamed Akashi was Aoi's death since she got a heart attack from frantically searching for a portrait of herself. He reveals that Akashi had painted over the portrait since he lacked the money to buy more painting supplies and had Akashi told her, she would not have died. Koumei reveals that Akashi was working on a new portrait for her in secret and had intended to surprise her on her birthday. Midorikawa having realize his mistake breaks down in tears.

Kogoro is hired by the Nijimura company to investigate a counterfeit company who has been copying their styles in handbags. Kogoro, Ran, and Conan witness the president of Nijimura become kidnapped by an unknown culprit. The culprit sends the president's wife, Saki Nijimura, a ransom note demanding her to place the money in a water-proof Nijimura handbag and to meet with him on a train at a specific time. While the police spy Saki, she runs into a crowd and receives a note demanding her to throw the handbag into the river below the train. Saki does as demanded and the river carries the handbag away. The next day, the police discover the empty purse downstream and President Nijimura's body in the woods. Conan notices something strange about the handbag they found and realizes it is a handbag from the company that has been counterfeiting Nijimura products. Conan gathers the police and Kogoro to the scene and tranquilizes Kogoro to reveal that the handbag actually sank to the bottom of the river and that Saki had staged the kidnapping and the ransom note. Saki confesses and reveals that the president had been selling off her designs for the handbags to the counterfeit companies and that he had gambled their family into debt.

Jodie Starling see the deceased Shuichi Akai but dismisses it as an illusion. She heads to the bank to withdraw some money when a bank robbery occurs. The bank robbers begin taking cellphones away from the bankers and separates them into two groups, one group has bankers with relatives or friends, and the others are those without. One of the bankers happens to be Akai causing Jodie to realize the possibility that he survived the assassination by the Black Organization. Jodie manages to lure one of the robbers to the bathroom and incapacitate him and finds the Detective Boys hiding in the stalls. Jodie tells Conan the bank robber's are separating people and taping their mouth and eyes. She is knocked out by one of the robbers from behind who then hide the body of the incapacitated robber in one of the bathroom and disguise him as a normal banker. Conan and the Detective Boys then formulate a plan to capture the four bank robbers.

Conan manages to incapacitate one of the robbers and realizes the robber had changed into his clothes and realizes that the robbers plan to escape the bank by pretending to be the hostages. Conan reveals to the Detective Boys that from the evidence of the robbers dialogue, they plan to choose five hostages, without friends or relatives, and disguise them as the bank robbers where the real robbers will then detonate an explosive and kill the five chosen hostages. The Detective Boys manage to detonate the explosives safely in an elevator and Conan manages to locate the three robbers who have mingled into the crowd. However Conan is grabbed by a robber who regained consciousness and is about to be killed until the robber is shot by Akai. The gunshot causes the police to infiltrate the bank and arrest the robbers. While Conan wonders who shot the robber, Jodie realizes it could only have been Akai.

Kogoro enters a barber shop and rests in a chair with a towel over his face. A few minutes later, a statue breaks and the owner, Ebihara, is found dead with a poisoned dart through his heart. Conan investigates and realizes who the murderer is. He tranquilizes Kogoro to reveal that Masao Noda, the man who selpt in the chair beside him before the murder. Conan reveals that Noda had murdered Ebihara beforehand and explains Ebihara was the man in the chair when Kogoro entered the shop. Noda, disguised as Ebihara, was the one who invited Kogoro to the barber shop and covered his face with a towel. Noda then switched places with Ebihara and used aimed a dart to knock down some pottery to create catch Kogoro's attention. As evidence, Conan reveals that Noda should have the same shirt as Ebihara. Noda confesses and reveals that Ebihara sold him to loan sharks.

Shigeko Ishikawa is being stalked by an unknown man. While Kogoro investigates, Conan is forced to watch over her two year old son nicknamed Santa. Ishikawa is later kidnapped by the unknown man and Conan investigates Santa's home in order to search for clues. Conan finds a feather of a White-eye and learns that Santa has been giving away figurines to people in the neighborhood. Conan realizes what the culprit's motive is after learning about the endangered counterpart of the White-eye, the Black-eye. Santa takes Conan to the home of the man where a White-eye figurine was placed. Conan reads a note and realizes the culprit is at an abandoned pet store. At the store, Conan confronts the culprit and reveals that the culprit was intending to sell the endangered Black-eye to the underground economy and kidnapped Santa's mother when he perceived the White-eye figurine to be a threat. Conan clears the misunderstanding and explains Santa was gave him the figurine in return for the candy. The culprit realizes he did a horrible thing, releases Santa's mother and prepares to turn himself in. The dealer whom the culprit has organized a meeting with attempts to steal the bird but is apprehended by Conan. Later that day, it is revealed that Santa's real name is Haruka Ishikawa and that she is a girl.

Kogoro takes Ran and Conan to an onsen by the ocean. When they hear the sound of a boulder falling, they find a man named Hideaki Umezu, a mortgage company president, dead. The police presume that a boulder rolled off the a hill and killed Umezu. However, Conan reveals that there are scratch marks around the spot where the bolder laid revealing that someone wedged the boulder out of its placement and that it was a premeditated murder. The suspects are Umezu's secretary, his two daughters, and the onsen manager. After further investigation, Conan tranquilizes Kogoro and reveals the murderer to be onsen manager, Koichi Maekawa. Conan reveals that Umezu was actually drowned and was dead before the boulder rolled down the hill, evidenced by the dirt under Umezu's fingernails, a sign that he was struggling. Conan then explains the boulder was used to create an alibi for Maekawa. Conan points out that the boulder was held in place by a wooden block which was connected to a line with a buoy at the end. When the tide lowered, the buoy pulled the wooden block and caused the boulder to roll off. Maekawa confesses and reveals that the president was pressuring him to sell the land to the onsen and that Umezu also pressured Maekawa's father which indirectly resulted in his death.

At the theatres, the Detective Boys run into Shiratori who is depressed Sato affection being directed at Takagi. Shiratori reveals that he is bind to Sato because of an encounter he had with her in the past. Shiratori explains Sato as a young girl stood up to two theives by herself. Shiratori helps her stop the theives and in return receives from her a drink with paper folded sakura. Conan questions whether that girl was actually Sato as their personalities differ greatly. During the movie, Shiratori runs into a woman named Nami Kasakura who offers him a drink with paper folded sakuras causing Shiratori to consider the possibility she was the girl in the past. After the movie, Kasakura tells Shiratori she is being stalked and asks him to investigate. At her apartment, Kasakura's boyfriend is found dead. Conan suspects Kasakura but her alibi supposedly states she was at the theatre the whole time.

Shiratori has Takagi search for the drinks at the theatre and to bring them to the apartment. Shiratori reveals his deductions and explains that Kasakura drugged him with sleeping pills and placed her tuque on him to create her alibi by having Shiratori impersonate her. Takagi arrives at the department and shows them Shiratori's drink. Shiratori reveals that he had broken a piece from the flower design yet all the pieces remained on his drink revealing that Kasakura switched his drink while he was asleep to hide the fact there were sleeping pills in them. As further evidence, Shiratori explains that there was a white string on his head from the tuque meaning his hair should also be found on Kasakura's tuque. Kasakura confesses and reveals that her boyfriend had been cheating on her for the past two years and she killed him in vengeance for wasting her time. Shiratori, saddened that the girl of his past has become a criminal, is cheered by Ayumi who offers him paper folded sakura's and repeats the same thing the girl in Shiratori's past says. Ayumi explains she learned that from her teacher Sumiko Kobayashi causing Shiratori to realize Kobayashi was the girl from his past.

Conan, Kogoro, and Ran pass by a woman named Kyouko Takahata who passes out upon receiving a phone call that her brother-in-law, Itsurou Soejima was found dead in her home. They head to her house along with the police to discover that the drunk Soejima died when he fired a shotgun toward the ceiling which caused a chandelier to fall on top of him. The police conclude it was suicide, however Conan believes it was a carefully planned murder. Conan investigates and discovers that in half a year, there were nine incidents where Soejima almost died due to his alcoholism and that Takahata was involved in all nine incidents. After gathering the evidence, Conan gathers the Kogoro, the police, and Takahata and tranquilizes Kogoro to reveal his deductions. Conan reveals that Takahata called Soejima to her home and had prepared the alcohol and shotgun to tempt Soejima, who is a recovering alcoholic. As evidence, Conan reveals that a piece of her nail was found in Soejima's house and that she was searching for his cellphone which evidenced that she called him to her place. Takahata confesses and reveals that Soejima caused his sister's death. Conan reveals that a message from her sister's phone reveals she died off an illness and that she loved Soejima very much.
571	-	Battle of the Haunted Warehouse's Treasure (Part 1)	May 1, 2010			V66 - F5 ~ F7	Ceiling
The Detective Boys hear a rumor from a classmate where a warehouse one second, was filled with treasure and how they all disappeared the next. Before heading to the warehouse to investigate, the Detective Boys drop by Conan's house where they run into an unknown person unbeknownst to Conan. During the warehouse investigation, Conan notices that there were recently made footprints from an adult even though the warehouse has been locked up for years and that the footprints lead up to an abacus with an odd number of beads. Conan decides to look through the warehouse by climbing a tree and looking through a window and sees the treasure their classmate was talking about. When they enter the warehouse through the front door, the Detective Boys discover the warehouse is in the same state as when they entered it. While Conan deduces that there might be a mechanism in the roof or in the floor, the Detective Boys prove him wrong declaring that the distance between the window and the roof is two meters from the outside and inside and that the markers they placed on the floors did not change. The marker leaning against the wall however has disappeared causing Conan to wonder what the mechanism in the warehouse is.
572	-	Battle of the Haunted Warehouse's Treasure (Part 2)	May 8, 2010			V66 - F5 ~ F7	Cracker
Conan investigates and realizes the abacus is a mechanism that reveals the secret room and that the warehouse was made by Samizu Kichiemon (三水 吉右衛門?). The Detective Boys also receive a text message and realize the trick to the warehouse. The Detective Boys and Conan have the owner of the warehouse call the police before revealing their deductions. When the police arrive, the Detective Boys explain that the warehouse has a low ceiling which was concealed by the interior design of the warehouse. A fake window was installed inside the warehouse to mimic the distance between the window and the ceiling outside the warehouse. Conan then explains the abacus reveals the secret room in the attic when it is arranged so it spells the Kanji Samizu. The ceiling lowers revealing a room full of stolen goods and the robber who is arrested by the police. Conan reveals to the Detective Boys that he discovered Heiji has been giving them advice during the investigation and forces Heiji to come out of hiding.

After returning to Detective Mouri's agency, Heiji asks them to help find Teruaki Kunisue, a sophmore at Teitan University who Heiji accidentally gave Kazuha's lucky charm. They all head to Teitan University the next day only to find out that he has not been attending classes due to a broken wrist. Ran learns from Kazuha that she left a photo of Heiji in it and does not want Heiji to find out about the charm's contents. Later, Ran, Conan, Heiji, and Kazuha, go to a sports parlor where Teruaki is suppose to be only to discover from the police that Teruaki has been assaulted by an unknown assailant. They are able to narrow down the suspects to three people since they were not in the bar during the time of the attack.

onan and Heiji interrogate the three suspects to learn that each of them attended a sumo match, a volleyball game, and a soccer game. Conan and Heiji deduce that Teruaki attended a baseball game and that one of the suspects must be lying. Conan and Heiji realize that the soccer game fan, Takuya Kyuma, had been using baseball terms to describe a soccer game meaning he attended a baseball game. They reveal that Kyuma attacked Teruaki for a baseball he got from a home run and reveal that the baseball is in his popcorn bag. Kyuma confesses and reveals his dead girlfriend's wish was to get a baseball from a home run. At the hospital, Teruaki decides to leave Kyuma have the baseball and drop the charges after hearing his story. Teruaki apologizes to Kazuha and tells her Heiji has her charm. Heiji finds the picture has been doodled on and becomes irritated with Kazuha.
