Manga to anime changes
- The anime version includes a flashback with Agasa describing how the Detective Boys Badges work, which is absent from the manga version as they were introduced in the manga version of Missing Corpse Murder Case.
- While searching for Ayumi, the boys notice Inspector Megure in a patrol car. After they find Ayumi, they see Inspector Megure pass by in the patrol car again, this time with a criminal. Both of these moments are anime-only.
Remastered version
On June 27, 2009, a remastered version of the case was aired.
