Conan and the Detective Boys are invited to "Smile Village" elderly facility. Suprisingly, the old women who live there are fans of the Detective Boys, and they are very rich. The Detective Boys then have suspicion on the owners.

- Although this episode may seem somewhat absurd, it is actually an insinuation of social phenomena with outrageous plots: reflects eldery scam.
- In one of the interviews, director Yasuichiro Yamamoto disclosed many things about this episode:
- He knew that every time Urasawa's script is being aired, it caused intense discussions, and he called Urasawa's script surrealism.
- They followed almost everything Urasawa indicated in the original script, except the special way that Shibuzura walks.
- The scenario where the table with the contract deposited got kicked away by Conan's football was actually the storyboard artist, Masaharu Okuwaki's idea.
- He thinks that Urasawa's scripts can bring a sense of addiction particularly, and he would love to see his next "famous" work.
- Some character names are insipired from dances, like Tango (a romantic dance from Argentina), Waltz, and Ondo (a folklore japanese dance).
