Chiemi Hironaka (広中 千恵美 Hironaka Chiemi?) is a Japanese animation director and character designer best known for her work in Detective Conan. Formerly affiliated with Studio Boomerang, she now works with TMS Entertainment.

Biography

Chiemi Hironaka started being active in 2000 as in-between animation in the 2nd part pf Kogoro Mouri, Suspect, before started as a key animation in 2002 with episode 300, the 2nd part of The Kanmon Strait of Friendship and Murderous Intent. She then started working regularly with Keiko Sasaki and Rei Masunaga, who were Studio Boomerang's regular animation director for the series. Starting with the 1st part of Inspector Shiratori, Memories of the Cherry Blossom, she replaced Rei Masunaga and started working as animation director while still representing Studio Boomerang.

In 2014, she left the studio to join TMS and is now a regular animation director for the series.
