The 106th Volume of the Detective Conan manga will be released on October 18, 2024. Its release was first announced in late August 2024. Starting with file 1124, released June 17, 2024, it ends with file 1133, released September 11, 2024, encompassing a total of three cases, including the two last chapters of the last case of Volume 105.

The kidnapper is Man A and Housekeeper B is his accomplice. They are both siblings. Shiori was actually locked up in the her own house attic.

It revealed that Mitushiko's pin is bugged with a hidden camera that was placed by Tohru Amuro.

The third criminal and the one whom Azusa remembered was Keisuke Omura. He and his two accomplices are actually publishers who received advance info on the release of Splatatter III for midnight and when he accidentally told Azusa, he and the two other publishers kidnapped her, and Conan who happened to see them, just so the info could be hidden until midnight. They are in fact held in a photo studio and the head in the fridge is a laminated picture which when put in the jar, would look like 3D due to refraction. Later, when Amuro and the girls arrive to save Conan and Azusa, the three fake killers apologize and give them six copies of the new game, which five are given by Conan to the Detective Boys. Later, it is revealed that Hanke is in fact a rival restaurant owner and stole the stew recipe, while Kanamaru is Café Poirot's substitute manager, who came to see if Azusa was dating a coworker, Amuro. As the story ends, the old lady can be seen walking away with her stroller near the café.

File 1133 - The Dark Red Last Act

Tenma Anzaka is the culprit of the second and third murder, while the first one is in fact an unintentional killing committed by Youka Kuraishi. Heiji thinks he missed the perfect time for the confession, as the sunset is ending right after the culprit is caught. As he laments over his many attempts at confessing his love for her, Heiji is overheard by the real Kazuha, who went to the observation deck looking for Heiji. When she asks him if he really meant what he said, he confesses to her. The Kazuha with a mask turned out to be her mother, Sakura Toyama, in disguise. Heiji and the real Kazuha held their hands together.
