Takagi is walking alone but later then approached by Yumi in a patrol car. Yumi expects Takagi to go for a date with Sato again but Takagi resists strictly it is not a date. On the next day, a man appears to give a present for Sato via Detective Boys. He said that the present is perishable so send it quickly. The man vanished and Conan appears later on. After explaining something about Haibara and Professor, Amuro appears to give reasoning about the previous case at the HQ too. Sato becomes anxious about the Takagi's secret and threatening Chiba who was observing Takagi last night. He tells that he got yelled by Takagi after telling that the sticker coming out from Takagi's notebook is Sato's picture on it. After Detective Boys have sent the present, Sato opens it and found a tablet PC where there is a video letter in it. It shows Takagi is bandaged and lied on a wood. Sato informs Inspector Megure about this and discusses about the planning of this case. Conan pours some idea but later Superintendent Matsumoto arrives to give some orders. Sato then starts a questioning to Detective Boys to investigate the case. Chiba who was ordered to continue observing the tablet PC found that Takagi is adjusting position on the wood and likely want to suicide. However, Conan explains that Takagi is dropping his cop notebook to give a clue to someone down the highrise. Lastly, Conan discusses with Sato about a case related to this case.

Police are still searching for the location of Takagi being held at. Three people seems to be connected and through them, a person is suspected to be the kidnapper. Then, the police rushed to ambush him. Sato explains to the culprit that he has mistaken Wataru Takagi as Wataru Date who has dumped Natalie, her daughter, making her to suicide. Actually, Date did not meet Natalie not because of dump intent but he was hit by a car and died. However, before the culprit can tell the location of Takagi, he died because of poison that he took before the police arrived. Takagi continues to drop clues and hopes somebody will notice him but he later realized that there is a bomb under the wood where he is lying. | |||||||||

Police notices the bomb under wood where Takagi is lying is a time bomb that will detonate soon. The only hint for the location of Takagi is a recorded blurred footage which is referring to Sun Pillar phenomenon, deduced by Conan. Sato and Megure rides a chopper to go to the Takagi's location and the exhausted Takagi is later saved by Sato. Takagi feels like his fault not to mention Natalie earlier about Date's death but later opposed by Sato.

Vermouth tells Gin about Sherry is going to ride the Black Mystery Train. Bourbon is sent to eliminate Sherry. On the next day, Detective Boys, Conan, Haibara, Professor Agasa, Ran, Sonoko, Kogoro and Sera arrived at the train station for the ride. Kaito Kid also has announced to steal an expensive jewel belongs to Jirokichi at the first-class car. However, what makes Conan and Sera interested for this is deduction quiz that will be held in the train during the runtime. Detective Boys receive a letter and are told to go to Carriage 7, Room B. They thought the deduction quiz has started. When they reach there, they open the door and found a man is being shot. The shooter run away and they followed him. A train conductor stops them and tells them to go back to their room because the deduction quiz is not started yet. Conan figures out the case become reals but cannot find the victim room due to confusion. Later, Conan and Sera found the victim's room and found him dead with a pistol gripped on his hand and concluded as locked room murder case. | |||||||||

Conan and Sera continue their investigation on the case. Detective Boys want to offer some help but Conan declines with a very serious face. Haibara shocks again when Scar Akai passes by the walkway while keeping his eye on her. They later found Amuro in the train too. Subaru and Yukiko are seen to sneak Amuro from their room. Kogoro arrives at the crime scene and the investigation is continued. Mitsuhiko mentions Professor Agasa that he has sent the camp trip footage to Kogoro in order to know the lady that has saved them. Ran says that she has watched the video with Kogoro and upload it to the internet. Haibara trembles with fear after hearing that. Later, Haibara receives an e-mail from Vermouth asking "Are you ready?". She then go out of the room to take the APTX drug. However, she is interrupted by Subaru. | |||||||||

Conan makes a weird request by asking a suspect to run through the walkway. Later, Amuro takes a snap with his phone on running Sera. Yukiko clashes with Scar Akai on a lonely walkway and whispers something that make Scar Akai shocked. Sera meets Scar Akai and fainted by a stun gun. Scar Akai then text to his comrade to go on with the plan. Conan sleeps Kogoro as usual and starts a deduction show. Ran receives a text message from Haibara saying she is alright. Scar Akai checks the guest name list but busted by the train conductor. He apologizes and go to Ran's room to overhear them. He later dumps Yukiko's baggage but busted by Yukiko. Scar Akai's true identity is revealed here as Vermouth and Yukiko tells that her team has taken Sera on their side, has a special guest. Subaru puts Sera properly and smiled when Sera whispers "Big bro" unconsciously. | |||||||||

Yukiko continues to speak with Vermouth about a program Vermouth ordered Suguru Itakura to make. Vermouth reveals her trick for exposing Sherry on the train. Sherry runs to the back of the train only to be found by Bourbon. Bourbon reveals the truth behind Scar Akai and plans to trap Sherry in the rear car of the train only to find it's filled with explosives. Just as Sherry closes the door to the rear car, Bourbon is caught off guard by a man who appears to be Shuichi Akai. Vermouth tells Gin over phone that Sherry was killed in the explosion on the train but just as she hangs up she's surprised to see Haibara safe and sound with the rest of the Detective Boys. | |||||||||
