Indonesian version of Detective Conan manga is published by Elex media Komputindo since 1997. The manga reading direction is inverted from Japanese version. As a result, images are inverted, and left handed people is right handed people in this version. However, the translation still follows the Japanese version.
Starting volume 41, the cover has different background color and pattern for each volume instead of white background. Since then, some older volumes are reprinted with colorful cover. Starting volume 97, the cover background use the similar brick pattern as the Japaneses version.
In 2020, the publisher decide to republish old volumes in new format. This version is known as "Detektif Conan Premium". Each book consists of 2 regular volumes, follows Japanese reading direction, and retains the same translation from the old versions.
