Trivia
- The prefix Kuchi in Eigo and his father's surname (Kuchiishi) probably comes from the italian word Cucina that means cooking or kitchen and because Eigo is a cook specialized in italian cuisine and his restaurant's name is Cuchina Eigo.
- The Michelin Guide also called red guide because of its color is a travel guide written by the french tire manufacturer Michelin and was first written in 1900. It selects every year restaurants and hotels around the world based on its own criteria. It has up to now 15,725 restaurants whom 857 are in Japan more than any other country in the world. 22 of them are 3 stars, 73 are 2 stars and a staggering 318 are 1 star. There are actually 437 Michelin starred restaurants in Tokyo and its surroundings including 12 3 stars restaurants, 42 2 stars restaurants and 153 1 star restaurants which includes the Cuchina Eigo, the restaurant that is involved in the case. We can't be sure how many stars it has.
- The car parked in front of Cucina Eigo is a Alpine White 2002 BMW 330i E46 LCI with the license plate written: 新宿 800, あ 82-04 (Shinjuku 800, A 82-04).
- The mystery of what happened on the Mary Celeste is directly referenced early in the case.
