Planned Murder
	Location: Saruwatari's home Victim: Kanzo Saruwatari Age: 40 years old Modus operandi: Strangling Culprit: Akira Kanieda

Turns out Akira Kanieda planned to kill Dr. Saruwatari to avenge his mother, who passed away after suffocated while sleeping when the dentures the dentist made for her were trapped in her throat. He asked Usui, who is unemployed, to help him making an alibi. However, the plan failed when Kanieda was struck by a car. In the end, Kanieda calls Usui, saying that he didn't wanted to have revenge because he thought that his accident was a divine punishment. Usui then apologizes to the police. Meanwhile, the culprit of Hachiya's attack was Sueko Kakimoto, who took advantage of the argument Usui had with the victim.

Afterwards

The Detective Boys later ask Usui who pushed the old lady. He then answers that the old lady faked her fall. The Detective Boys then realize that she was the troublemaker grandma everyone was talking about.
